Tocal Homestead was everything that we wanted - a stunning outdoor ceremony location, a beautifully renovated barn for the reception, gorgeous grounds for photos and the perfect atmosphere - calm and relaxed but with the air of something very special. It was a magical day. Sprout Catering ran a seamless day. Everything ran on time and the canapés and food at the reception was flawless. We had the banquet (shared plate) option and there was an abundance of delicious food. Everybody went home full and many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding food they have had. We also stayed at the barracks - the groomsmen the night before and us on our wedding night. The staff are wonderfully helpful and the rooms are super nice.

Hiring Jane as our wedding florist was one of the best decisions that I made. I rang her with a very loose vision and she wonderfully helped tease out that vision right up until the point where we had something that was so very beautiful on the day. Every time I show people my wedding photos they comment: "I love your flowers" and "I love the colours" and lots of the credit for both of those comments goes to Jane. Jane is a joy to work with. She is kind and warm, calm and reassuring and willing to do her best to answer any question that you have about weddings - even if it doesn't have to do with flowers. I bought my dress from Luv Bridal in Crows Nest. The service was great - cool, calm and collected with no one trying to push a certain dress onto me or give me advice that wasn't genuine. I was also able to buy a dress for a reasonable price right off the rack. The store ask you to go in with 5 gowns that you want to try on and this is a necessity as their range is huge.

Marry Me Bridal was the first bridal shop that I went into looking for my wedding dress. It was the perfect place to begin my search. The range is small enough that you aren't overwhelmed and can get a sense of the different styles that are out there. At the same time, their range is beautiful with some unique dresses that you will have trouble finding elsewhere. Chloe was wonderful. Down to earth and genuine, she is not pushy in any will actually give you honest feedback which is what you want when you are choosing the most important dress of your life. She also picked out some dresses for me to try on that I wouldn't have picked for myself but that looked gorgeous. Whilst I ended up with a dress from a different store, I can't recommend Marry Me Bridal enough. Great service, beautiful dresses.

Penrith Bridal Centre was a wonderful place to search for my dress. The service was genuine and very helpful. Nobody was there to push me into a sale or make me feel pressured. I was given lots of time to try on different styles and the range is big. The advice that I received was honest and I felt very comfortable the whole time. It was a very enjoyable experience in Penrith Bridal Centre and I would absolutely recommend a visit. (I ended up buying my dress from a store closer to home but I very nearly bought it from Penrith!).

I can not recommend Sylvi enough. She is a wonderful human - very down to earth, genuine, kind and funny. She is the kind of woman that you want spending time with you on the morning of your wedding. It was an absolute delight to spend time with her. Sylvi is also incredibly talented. She made me, my bridesmaids, my mum and mother in law look and feel so beautiful - which shows that she is able to do the makeup for a range of women super well which feels impressive to me. In particular, Sylvi absolutely knows what she's doing with eyes - boy does she make them pop! (Check out my eyes in the photo!!). I can't wait to find an event for Sylvi to do my makeup again. Look no further for your makeup artist. She is wonderful.
