We did an engagement shoot with Darren a few months before the wedding, and it was the best decision. The shoot was so fun and easy - we were SUPER nervous beforehand but he caught so many of us looking happy and laughing, it was wonderful. It made us feel so confident about the wedding day shots - we knew they'd be fabulous no matter what. It meant that we were super relaxed on the actual wedding day and could just concentrate on having fun and being in the moment. We haven't got the full wedding album back yet (I'll update this post when we do) but the couple of "taster" shots he sent us through are spectacular.

We had the most amazing wedding reception at Poolside! All our guests kept saying to us how fabulous the food was (and we agree, it was all absolutely delicious, it was too hard to pick a favourite canape because it was all so good), the cocktails and the gin bar were a HUGE hit, everyone said how beautiful the venue was and the layout worked so well – people who wanted to sit and chat had ample space to sit and chat, and people who wanted to dance had heaps of space to boogie on the dance floor. Annemarie and the staff were so attentive on the night and took such good care of everyone with dietary requirements, and Stephany was super helpful and responsive in the lead-up. Thanks to Poolside, our wedding reception was such a joyful, smooth, super fun party.

Jessie wrote us the most wonderful, moving, funny wedding ceremony. My partner had been to some friends' wedding before we met and was really impressed with Jessie's ceremony at their wedding, so when we were getting married she seemed like the obvious choice. She was hugely helpful through the whole process, and sent us heaps of useful information - without her vow examples to guide us we'd never have dared to write our own! It was the most magic day, and a lot of that was down to Jessie's beautiful words. We can't thank her enough!
