The food was delicious and of generous portion per serve, although I wasn't blown away as I was at the food tasting; Some dishes I did not enjoy as I did at the tasting, they were slightly different than what was presented to us at the tasting, so a bit inconsistent but we received lots of complements from our guests about the food. There were some minor hiccups regarding no car park spaces in the underground hotel car park for the bridal party including myself and hubby (bride and groom) when we were told we would have 2 spaces reserved for us. Also they required in depth detail of our timeline for the day which I had to revise about 3 times and sign off, when this seemed like a waste of time and effort as it seemed that the staff on the night were unaware of this timeline. The communication between the event coordinator and the staff was poor. For example, we were meant to start a greeting line outside the reception doors at 6:45pm, we (bridal party) arrived at 6:45 to find the reception doors already opened and staff prompting guests to be seated (there were at least 2 full tables seated at this point) I (the bride) with the help of my father in law had to take matters into our own hands and prompt people to start a greeting line. Despite all of this, overall we enjoyed our night, as did the guests and the room was decorated exactly to our vision. They also matched the menus and table numbers to our colour theme (Gold, white and burgundy) and to match our invites which was a nice touch. There will always be even a slightest hiccup at a wedding, so I am not hanging onto it, and rather like to talk about all the things that did go right and the things that we liked! it is a beautiful ballroom, with a lovely high ceiling which adds great character to the room, it was the perfect canvas for our grand wedding theme.

We hired 2 XJ6 Jags for our wedding in Feb 2018. From the beginning Trevor was a breeze to communicate with, very responsive to emails and very happy to help and answer all our questions we had leading up to our wedding. The cars were in great condition, with air-conditioning. Small bottles of water were offered to us once we got in the car and a red carpet was rolled out for when myself (the bride) stepped out of the car to make my grand entrance into St Francis Xavier Cathedral. The chauffeurs were all friendly and helpful on the day. The Jags really added to the classic look we were going for on our special day. We would highly recommend American British Chauffeurs to others.

As I walked passed their shop window with my mum just after saying yes to my wedding gown, I just gasped and pointed, I want a cake like that and that! oh my! the attention to detail is shown consistently on all their cakes, I had never seen such talent and skill on a cake, they were all such works of art. We were greeted by a friendly lady who asked what it was I was looking for, she discussed some things with us and then suggested we book an appointment to sit down and go over everything in detail and to do a tasting of about 4 or 6 different flavours. That is when we met with Ben, I showed him about 4 different pictures of cakes I found on Pintrest, I was really looking for something modern with a hint of vintage with gold detailing. He took all pictures I had and combined all the elements I liked about each and hand sketched it into one. Just like that, he created our perfect wedding cake! then to top it off we got to taste test all the delicious flavours of our choice, this was probably the hardest part! we ended up choosing 2 flavours, lemon and choc caramel mud. We also decided to have the cake all foam for display and then 2 big slabs of cake were provided for the kitchen. On the day they delivered the cake straight to the reception and then picked up the display cake the next morning to display in their window along side their other beautiful cakes, they had also given us a small replica foam cake that we could take home. Our wedding cake was delicious, we had many complements from the guests also. Overall, this experience was wonderful, they all take pride in their work and are very friendly and easy to communicate with.

Wedding Cakes

I had 1 meeting in person with Teresa and that was all that was needed. She instantly understood my vision for the bouquets and centrepieces. All communication was through emails and phone calls with ease. I wanted a pop of colour in my flowers and I got just that with pops of deep burgundy complimented by soft pinks and hints of white with baby's breath and greenery. Teresa also incorporated rosary beads into my bouquet. All flowers were so big, vibrant in colour and fresh and lasted a good 3 weeks after the wedding, I hung my bouquet upside down to dry out and now it is decoration hung at the end of the stair rail in my home. I would highly recommend Angelic Blossoms to others in future.

Wedding Flowers

This was the second shop I went into to find my perfect dress and I instantly fell in love with the store. It was truly a magical experience. All the staff were so friendly and very patient with me as I was a bit indecisive. I tried on roughly 5 dresses but there was just something missing. I explained again exactly my vision and that's when they brought out a dress from the back. As soon as I laid eyes on it I instantly fell in love and had a moment of excitement and relief.. YES! that is it! I tried it on, and I could not get the smile off my face, my whole face lit up the store and I did not want to take the dress off. I felt like a real life princess. The staff were lovely, patient and very helpful from this day of saying yes to my dress all the way along leading up to my wedding with the fittings. They all remember you and all greet you as you walk in. I will forever remember this special day. I would highly recommend Jenny and Gerry's to future brides.
