Rachel is the hairdresser every bride NEEDS on her wedding day! I had the most awful hair trial with another hairdresser a month out from my wedding and by sheer luck, found Rachel who fortunately had my date free. Rachel fitted me in for a trial at short notice and nailed the up-do I wanted first go! On my wedding day, she also created the most beautiful styles for my bridesmaids which fitted in with my hair style but also had elements unique to each of them. She was so calming during our wedding preparations, and was very down-to-earth and kind. I am so glad our stars aligned, and we got to use Rachel – she is so incredibly talented and a wonderful person too!

We are so happy we chose to get married at The Chapel at Gold Creek! From start to finish, our experience was just wonderful and the venue is simply stunning. Lesley was a pleasure to deal with, and a great support with all of the finer details. We highly recommend this ceremony location to all future couples who are interested in a beautiful location in Canberra.

We are so grateful we chose Michael as our celebrant! We were not sure what it was that we wanted or needed in a celebrant initially, but knew Michael was for us from our first meeting. Michael was so down-to-earth, funny and helpful, and gave us real advice about the different ways a ceremony can be conducted and what works well based on his past experience. He spoke at our ceremony so wonderfully (note, great voice!) and was a calming figure for everyone both at the rehearsal and on the big day. He also guided us through the legal aspects of the marriage process with ease. If you are looking for a celebrant who has the right balance of everything - knowledge, humour, confidence and likeability - Michael is your guy! We cannot recommend him enough...

We are so glad we chose The Boat House for our wedding reception venue - we cannot fault our experience! From the outset, James was incredibly experienced and professional, guiding us through options, set ups, schedules and even alternative arrangements depending on changing Covid-19 restrictions. He made us feel like valued customers from the beginning, even though The Boat House is a venue that is in high-demand regardless. The reception itself went off without a hitch - the food was exceptional, the service was perfect, everything went according to our planned schedule and the staff were flexible during our pack up. Our guests are still raving about The Boat House and how it never disappoints. In addition to all of the above, the location of this venue is just beautiful, even on a rainy day! We highly recommend The Boat House to future couples considering it as an option.
