We didn't want to waste money on tacky gifts most guests would leave or throw out. We were keen on the charity idea - we chose RSPCA not only cos we are both big supporters of their work, but also because we could buy a small gift/bomboniere with all the $ going to charity. We chose wrist bands in our wedding colours and they were a hit, but they have plenty of other options in their online store.

One of the best hotels in Apia (Samoa) - the best bet if you want to be close to the city and not stuck out on the other side of the island.

Easy to use online gift registry. We chose this one because they charge almost no fees, and unlike the free ones, people could just donate $ online and we can then buy the gifts later ourselves. We could withdraw the $ anytime before or after the wedding. Ift was perfect for us as we got married in Samoa and didn't want to lug a heap of gifts back in our meagre luggage allowance! Highly recommend!

I hate heals, so was deermined to wear flat shoes on the big day. Found a great, reasonably prices pair of flat, strappy white shoes at Novo.
