Sugar & Spice helped us with a cake even though they are not open the second half of December. We purchased a fake cake to cut and a slab of delicious double choc and salted caramel cake that was frozen. simple instructions for defrosting the cake was amazing.

At our cocktail style reception we were a little disappointed, half of the 10 items we selected were very tasty and presented well, sadly the other half tasted ordinary and the presentation lacked love and professionalism that we expected of the Grand Hotel. The bar and wait staff were fantastic.

We chose Alice based on a recommendation from friends. From the moment we contacted her she was amiable and had a comforting approach to the preliminary planning. On the "day" she brought a calming professionalism to the ceremony and we were delighted to have her officiate at our wedding.

We live interstate and we stayed here 2015 at Christmas time that is why we chose to stay again Christmas 2016 and have our wedding ceremony and reception here. The staff are wonderful and the rooms are clean and they have super comfy beds and the beachside location is perfect.

I had a girls lunch for 13 at the Ed in the private dining room. For a small room hire fee we got wonderful personal service from LIsa and her team. I paid for my guests drinks and we ordered anything we wanted from the hotel menu and they happily took payments separately.

5 nights in the glorious old Sydney Water Board building, lovingly restored to a hotel. Great rooms, service, rooftop pool and bar. We walked, did a couple of small group tours of the harbour and pubs and of course the big red double decker bus. Awesome end to our wedding.
