In the lead up.... We booked Eliza and Vlad (Something Different) through the Something Borrowed Wedding Company. While booking, Adam was super helpful and made the whole process just so easy. In the lead up to the wedding, Eliza & Vlad reached out to check in on our list of songs for the wedding, and even learnt 3 new songs to make our day extra special to us. Aside from picking out the 4-5 songs for our ceremony/ first dance/ etc. we didn't have to lift a finger We also didn't have to lift a finger to organise anything, with Eliza and Vlad composing the perfect playlist for the day. On the day..... Oh. My. Gosh. Eliza and Vlad were amazing - and such wonderful people to boot. What a perfect duet, with such a huge range of vocals. During our ceremony and for the afternoon section of our reception, Eliza and Vlad played acoustic ballads and really set the tone for our wedding. Then when it got darker, they moved inside and got EVERYONE on the dance floor! A lot of guests came up to me after the event and said that they were only planning on dancing to a couple of songs, but that Something Different just kept lifting the game after each song and they ended up dancing the whole night! One of out most loved wedding detail from our guests was the music, and Something Different really made our Day Something Special!!!!

After initially finding this venue on google maps, my partner and I decided to go to the venue for a visit one Sunday and to try their range of beers. When we walked onto the site we fell in love, and knew that this was going to be the perfect spot to celebrate our wedding. One of the other major sellers for us was the option to booked the venue from the Friday to the Saturday, as many other venues would only allow an 8 hour venue hire for the duration of the wedding, and we didn't want to feel rushed. Florine and Rob have created something truly special in Taggerty. Their relaxed, can do nature was exceptionally reassuring all the way up to the big day. We had booked the venue > 1 year in advance, and noticed some changes in the venue leading up to our big day which only helped to make the venue even more perfect. We cannot wait to keep re-visiting bonfire station in the future to relive our special day and to see how Rob and Flo continue to create the perfect space. Although I don't know where to begin with recommending Bonfire Station to others, below are some insider comments that will hopefully help future potential couples in their search for the perfect spot! Location: Taggerty was a perfect distance from Melbourne to be able to escape the rush and bustle but to also allow people to come up for the ceremony only is required. The venue is nestled between the Blue gum plantation (where we had our ceremony) and the hills over looking the spectacular cathedral ranges. Between the trees, the onsite dam, the hills there was no end to idyllic spots for photo opportunities. Accommodation: Although Taggerty is small, there was ample accommodation around the venue at different price points to suit all of our guests. Not only was the surrounding accommodation great, but the option of staying onsite (max 48 guests) was superb, as it allowed people to celebrate our wedding without having to worry about safely leaving the venue. Drink: Bonfire Stations range of beers and local wines was delicious. Also, Rob and Flo were super relaxed when it came to how to pay for the bar tab - they offered a per head package, a bar tab or even a pay as you go option to suit any wedding. Super easy and cost-effective. Food: The food provided by Bonfire Station was sensational, and I am not biased in saying that it was the best buffet meal I have ever eaten at a wedding. The buffet style dining was great as it allowed our guests to served their perfect portions, and also to choose who to sit and talk to while eating. Rob & Flo: Probably the loveliest and most helpful couple you will ever meet! Most common question on the day: "Oh my gosh, where did you find this venue it is PERFECT!?" Bonfire Station delivered an 11/10 for our wedding day, and we could not have found a more perfect venue.

Ann was amazing. We initially found Ann through the venue as she had officiated a marriage at Bonfire Station previously, and when we reached out Ann was very easy and relaxed about setting a date for our first (and only) meeting. When we went to Ann's beautiful home office, she instantly made us feel relaxed but also in safe hands! As the wedding location was a little out of the way, we did not have a run through the day prior, however the ceremony went without a hitch, and it was the most beautiful ceremony we could have asked for. Ann's professionalism and ease was much appreciated by both myself & my husband, and all our guests also commented on how good the celebrant was. I would recommend Ann to anyone looking to get married by a relaxed, stress-free celebrant.

The range of dresses offered by Be A Star was really wonderful. It was only the second bridal shop I had been to to look for my wedding dress, and was recommended to try on multiple different styles just to see what suited me. After trying on lots of styles, my mum saw an A line dress at the back of the shop which was absolutely perfect - and even better once BASB trialed some beading across the arms for that extra special look. Ordering & fitting of the dress was very easy, and i was able to pick up the dress a few weeks before the wedding. On my wedding day, I had so many comments about how perfect the dress was for me. My only issue is that I need to find another event to wear my wedding dress to, as it was so comfortable and beautiful!!!

Wedding Dresses

I found Jackie through Easy Weddings, and reached out to her around 8 months before the wedding (which I was starting to worry about as March weddings generally book up for hair and make up quote far in advance). Turned out I didn't need to worry - Jackie was very calm, and wasn't phased about travelling to the venue (approx. 1.5 hrs away) or the exact amount of people that needed to have their makeup done on the day. I had a trial by Jackie about 6 months before the wedding day, and everyone was amazed by my make up. On the day of my wedding, myself, both my two bridesmaids, my mother and my mother-in-law had our make up done by Jackie and everyone was in love with the final product. Jackie really listened to what everyone wanted, and all of our make up matched well, but was also very personalized to what everyone felt comfortable with. Jackie did a truly amazing job and I will be going back to see her for make up for any future events I have!!!
