  • Have a once in a lifetime ceremony at the location of your choice then return to our reception area to start the party. Finish the night around the bonfire before rolling into bed in our on-site accommodation for 48 guests.
  • On the morning after your wedding, enjoy a recovery breakfast and that extra bit of time with all your guests and explore the local area and slowly head back home as newlyweds.

Our gorgeous home and wedding venue boasts multiple ceremony sites, expansive gardens and photograph spots, in-house catering with options for sit down or cocktail style receptions. Our microbrewery beers will flow until 11:00pm while you celebrate and dance in our rustic bar building.

My partner Flo and I are your hosts here. We started our own love story and adventure 6 years ago. Our family-run business takes a lot of pride in providing a personal and caring service. When we are not handcrafting beers or hosting events right here on the farm we travel as much as we can. From Iceland to Africa we hike and explore - all the while gaining inspiration for our ever evolving venue and home.

Our rustic bar (only 150m away from the accommodation building) will be staffed for you from 12:00pm to 23:00pm nightly and we'll chat with each of our couples to find the best bar fit for your special weekend.

Bonfire Station Microbrewery have been proudly handcrafting beers for 15 years. You'll have access to a seasonal selection of our beers that will excite every beer enthusiast. From hoppy to malty, hazy, creamy and easy drinking, we have something on tap for everyone - even uncle jim who refuses to drink anything other than carlton dry!

We also craft a popular apple cider and personally pick a variety of local wines and spirits to ensure that all your guests have something to drink while they celebrate you.

We are flexible about the way we run the bar for your wedding weekend based on your needs, choices and budget.

Important Note: We are a fully licensed venue so we don't allow any BYO during bar opening hours.

Our wedding packages all include venue hire for up to 80 of your loved ones, and accommodation for up to 48 guests.

Our most popular option is our two-night weekend wedding. We truly believe your wedding should last more than just a few hours. We want you to really have the time to relax and enjoy the company of your family and friends for your celebration. 

Our two night weekend wedding usually looks like this:

  • Arrive Friday night, and spend the evening settling in with your closest friends and loved ones. Pack a picnic and watch the sunset over the mountains. Enjoy an relaxing night before your ceremony date and wake refreshed in dewy gardens.
  • ?On Saturday, have a once in a lifetime ceremony at the location of your choice then return to our reception area to start the party. We'll take care of your catering, bar and guests while you enjoy your photographs and mingling. Enjoy a great evening in our rustic bar and our expansive beer gardens. Finish the night around the bonfire before rolling into bed.
  • ?On Sunday morning, enjoy a recovery breakfast and that extra bit of time with all your guests before leaving the fairytale.

Each of our wedding celebrations end up unique and special. Our expansive property offers unique set-up opportunities; and we love to see how our couples use the space!

  • On the Hilltop : A 360 degree view of the rolling hills and Cathedral Ranges,
  • In the Bluegum Plantation : Intimate forest setting with dappled sunlight,
  • Down by the Bonfire Station Dam : A waterfront setting super close to the reception area and accommodation,
  • Silo Bar : An outdoor, hand-built silo bar. Yes. We have two bars on site!

No matter which site you choose, you'll have endless photogenic landscapes to take advantage from for your wedding photography. At the right time of the year, you can even access our huge cherry orchard in blossom!

Florine, Rob, Lana and team were amazing to work with. It was such a relaxed process that made our dream day one to never forget. Everything was perfect. The food was incredible, bar service outstanding. The fact that we could DIY and make it our own special day was the best. Staying for the weekend with our bridal party and loved ones meant we could relax and be present on the moment. Oh my gosh the sunset photos on the hill are our favourite. Highly recommended 100% bonfire station.

We had the most wonderful experience with Bonfire Station. The setting was perfect for us to catch up with friends and family over a weekend for our wedding - particularly as many had travelled interstate or overseas to be with us. The environment was relaxed and enjoyable. The accommodation was clean and tidy and very convenient for those staying onsite with us. Rob and Flo were extremely helpful all the way through - their amazing communication was particularly appreciated as we were planning our event from interstate. They were quick to respond to emails, and always able to give helpful advice or help us problem solve. On the weekend itself they were super helpful as well, and Lana who was manning the bar was also incredible. The food was delicious - we had pizzas on Friday night and BBQ on the Saturday! We couldn't have asked for a better weekend, thankyou so much.

Bonfire Station is the perfect venue for anyone wanting a relaxed, rustic, country wedding with 50 of their closest friends and family with them for the entire weekend!!! My husband and I wanted to make a weekend out of our wedding as we'd heard the wedding goes so quickly and had friend's feel like they didn't get enough time to get around to all of their guests. So when we visited Bonfire Station for the first time, the fact that we and our guests could stay there all weekend really appealed to us. After initially finding this venue on google maps, my partner and I decided to go to the venue for a visit one Sunday and to try their range of beers. When we walked onto the site we fell in love, and knew that this was going to be the perfect spot to celebrate our wedding. One of the other major sellers for us was the option to booked the venue from the Friday to the Saturday, as many other venues would only allow an 8 hour venue hire for the duration of the wedding, and we didn't want to feel rushed. Florine and Rob have created something truly special in Taggerty. Their relaxed, can do nature was exceptionally reassuring all the way up to the big day. We had booked the venue > 1 year in advance, and noticed some changes in the venue leading up to our big day which only helped to make the venue even more perfect. We cannot wait to keep re-visiting bonfire station in the future to relive our special day and to see how Rob and Flo continue to create the perfect space. Although I don't know where to begin with recommending Bonfire Station to others, below are some insider comments that will hopefully help future potential couples in their search for the perfect spot! Location: Taggerty was a perfect distance from Melbourne to be able to escape the rush and bustle but to also allow people to come up for the ceremony only is required. The venue is nestled between the Blue gum plantation (where we had our ceremony) and the hills over looking the spectacular cathedral ranges. Between the trees, the onsite dam, the hills there was no end to idyllic spots for photo opportunities. Accommodation: Although Taggerty is small, there was ample accommodation around the venue at different price points to suit all of our guests. Not only was the surrounding accommodation great, but the option of staying onsite (max 48 guests) was superb, as it allowed people to celebrate our wedding without having to worry about safely leaving the venue. Drink: Bonfire Stations range of beers and local wines was delicious. Also, Rob and Flo were super relaxed when it came to how to pay for the bar tab - they offered a per head package, a bar tab or even a pay as you go option to suit any wedding. Super easy and cost-effective. Food: The food provided by Bonfire Station was sensational, and I am not biased in saying that it was the best buffet meal I have ever eaten at a wedding. The buffet style dining was great as it allowed our guests to served their perfect portions, and also to choose who to sit and talk to while eating. Rob & Flo: Probably the loveliest and most helpful couple you will ever meet! Most common question on the day: "Oh my gosh, where did you find this venue it is PERFECT!?" Bonfire Station delivered an 11/10 for our wedding day, and we could not have found a more perfect venue.
