I booked in with Fairytales with absolutely no intention of finding the one. I booked for a fitting there purely to allow my grandmother to attend and share the experience with me. The staff know what styles suit brides to be, as I had specifically said I did not want anything strapless. After being asked if I’d be willing to try something on that the staff member thought I’d suit, I fell in love with… a strapless dress. Absolutely stunning and supportive, and for a reasonable price! The store also provides decent payment plans where you can determine how much you pay in the lead up to the wedding, allowing you to chip away at the payments rather than a large lump sum.

Adele is extremely talented and made my mother, bridesmaids and myself look and more importantly FEEL beautiful. She asked us what type of makeup look we preferred, and followed through. She also had suggestions if we asked for them and ensured the makeup stayed right until the very end of the night. She adds luxurious touches that make the bride feel so special on the day, and is such a bubbly presence that it truly felt as if I was being dolled up by a good friend. She is very sought after so I highly recommend booking with her ASAP!

Absolutely stunning venue. It’s a blank canvas that can be styled with a minimalistic approach or a detailed and get the top one. Very classic Melbourne with its hole-in-the-wall feel being down an unassuming laneway. The best part was the speakeasy in the reception area. Ceremony and reception all in one makes it super convenient for everyone. We had so many compliments in the beauty of The Wool Mill and are so glad we got married here!

We were matched with Jess via The Goodsmiths and we couldn’t have imagined a better pairing! Jess is the perfect combination of a calm and bubbly presence throughout the planning of our wedding and she really matched our vibe. Checking what our preference was with regard to her positioning during the ceremony and even what colour she wore demonstrates her consideration. She is accommodating, approachable and happy to help with vows for those who have no idea what they’re doing. She puts a lot of thought and effort into writing out the ceremony which truly made it feel like a good friend was there with us, and contributed to how comfortable we felt throughout the process. A beautiful ceremony with the perfect touch of humour. Highly highly recommend Jess if you’re after someone who is lovely, funny and genuine !
