I purchased my wedding dress from Fairytales Bridal Moonee Ponds in January 2019 for my August 2019 wedding. This was only the second store I had visited, but I knew that I had found the dress. Everyone at the store was so helpful and professional, I have heard horror stories about wedding dress shopping but couldn’t have had a better experience at Fairytales. They have an incredible range of dresses, prices and styles. As soon as I walked in I felt confident there would be something there for me. The in-house alterations service was also excellent. Both of the seamstresses I worked with were very helpful in explaining what the options were, and wouldn’t let me leave with the dress until I was 100% happy with it. My dress was very delicate with 3D lace flowers and they did a very skillful job. I absolutely love my dress and am so glad I shopped at Fairytales!

From my husband: I had a great experience buying our wedding party's suits from MSW. Angelo was very attentive and helpful through the initial process, as was the rest of the team through subsequent visits. He helped to find the exact suits I needed. All the groomsmen were interstate or overseas so we purchased off measurements. This was a worry, but all the suits ended up fitting perfectly. They even honoured a previous sale deal that we had seen online, but had become obsolete. I would recommend them for great service, extensive range, and an excellent price.

From my husband: My experience with Uniform Black was nothing less than amazing. From the moment you have your first meeting with Rhett, to when you finally receive your ring, you feel completely at ease. His customer service was generous, his knowledge extensive, and the possibilities with rings limitless. Never once did I feel like he was trying to force a sale or push me in a particular direction. Bessy from Maiden Empire did my hair, and my bridal party’s in August 2019. After a couple of trial’s at Bessy’s studio, she came to our AirBnB on the day which was very convenient. I always felt I was in safe hands with Bessy. She is experienced, reliable and very talented. Myself, my 3 bridesmaids, my 5yo flowergirl and my mother were all very happy with our hairstyles, which lasted the whole day and night. Thank you Bessy!

We hired Craig Francis Music to provide entertainment and MC services at our wedding reception. Without a doubt, it was the best decision we could have made. From the moment we went to one of their live auditions we knew they were the band for us and Craig made the lead up to the wedding easy with his friendly, clear, timely communication. Craig performing MC duties at our wedding was great as it took the stress out of having a family member or friend cover the role, and we knew with Craig everything would go seamlessly. The highlight of the night was of course was the performance. Craig crafted a set based on our choice of genres, critical song list, and the vibe of the room on the night. They even belted out a number of our song requests live, which I was expecting would be played in the DJ intermission. The band worked together seamlessly, and together with the amazing voices of Jessica and Craig they were able to keep everybody up and dancing the entire night. Our guests absolutely loved them and we have heard nothing but positive feedback about their performance. A massive thank you to Craig and his team for helping to make our night unforgettable.

Mat from The Wedding Fair was our wedding videographer in August 2019 and did an excellent job. We initially were attracted to The Wedding Fair because of their candid “documentary-style” wedding videography, and competitive prices. We loved the style of their videos, which were unique to each couple and really seemed to capture the feel of the day. Communication in the lead up to the day was timely and Mat answered all of our many questions. On the wedding day itself we barely noticed Mat was there (which is a good thing!). The finished video really captures the day. We are so glad we went with a videographer, as the ceremony went by in a flash but now we have a full ceremony recording to relive it, which is part of the package. Highly recommend using The Wedding Fair, you won’t regret it. Thank you Mat!

It was an absolute pleasure to have Jennifer as our celebrant for our wedding day. Her 20+ years of experience in the wedding industry absolutely shows and she is a complete professional. She had a methodical process for getting to know us and crafting the ceremony. We went back and forth on a few drafts, with Jennifer including our feedback to make sure we were 100% happy with the ceremony. She offered words of advice and guidance throughout the process also, including reviewing our individual vows to ensure they worked together, and flowed with the ceremony as a whole. We felt we were in safe hands the whole way along. On the day everything went perfectly. So many people commented on how beautiful and romantic the ceremony was, and a perfect reflection of us as a couple. Almost everyone was reduced to tears. Couldn’t recommend Jennifer more highly if you are looking for an industry professional who will support you through the process and make the day all about you as a couple.

We had our wedding at Vue on Halcyon in August 2019 and only have positive things to say. Firstly, the venue is absolutely beautiful. The view is incredible from almost any position, looking over the vines, or down the hill onto stunning farmland. The venue is quite new, and we loved the modern simplicity of the reception hall. Every single one of our guests commented on how stunning the venue is. We chose to get married outside near the vines and got lucky with the weather, but having the chapel as a backup option really set our minds at ease. Renee, Dean, Carolyn and the rest of the staff made planning the wedding a dream, as well as ensuring everything went smoothly on the night. We primarily dealt with Renee for all the planning, and you can tell she really cares about making the wedding go smoothly, and looking after each couple’s individual needs. We felt confident that Vue had everything under control, and we were able to just relax and enjoy the night. Would recommend this venue to anyone considering a Yarra Valley wedding. Professional staff, beautiful food, fabulous wine and a venue with views to die for.
