Tysha and Brent’s Great Keppel Island wedding
When getting married on Great Keppel Island, the environment is the styling. For North Queensland couple Tysha and Brent, their intimate and authentic wedding was shared with just those who meant the most to them.
On 30 July 2025, the couple tied the knot on the white shores of Great Keppel Island, with the gentle waves the soundtrack for this love-filled wedding.
The couple chose a late morning ceremony, and a guestlist maxed out at 45, to keep it to just their closest family and friends. Tysha’s entrance was incredible meaningful, as she walked down the aisle and given away by her beloved grandfather, someone who has been described as her spiritual guidance and “an anchor” in her life.
Meaningful moments in the ceremony didn’t stop there, as the couple’s best friend and pastor Shea Taylor was the celebrant. Leading the service with love, faith, and warmth, the couple chose to not have a bridal party but rather focus entirely on the vows and those who had gathered to witness them.
The ceremony’s styling was simple yet elegant. Wildflower Botanicals took care of Tysha’s blooming bouquet of incredible bright florals, which were complemented by the beautiful natural surroundings, bouncing standout blooms on the pristine white sandy beaches.
Every precious moment of Tysha and Brent’s day was captured perfectly by Julie-Anne Photography, with her second shooter Be Still Photography (Hannah Clark). Based in Yeppoon, Julie-Anne is known for her incredible ability to capture the natural beauty of Queensland’s coastline. She also spent time getting to know the couple to make them feel as comfortable as possible and bring the imagery to life, with all involved relaxed and enjoying it.
Tysha and Brent have described the experience as “stress-free and fun”. Thanks to Julie-Anne’s calm approach, the relationship they built during the planning process was the epitome of professional yet personable. The ideal pairing for a wedding photographer.
By midnight on the wedding night, Tysha already had a handful of sneak peek images in her inbox — a thoughtful gesture that showed just how much Julie-Anne cares about her couples.
“Julie-Anne really understands the environment and the light on the beach. She let us be ourselves, and the photos reflect exactly how relaxed and happy we felt.”
