Nomiki and Nikolas had heard of one another through mutual friends for years before they finally made a move.
“Our numbers were finally exchanged, the first phone call was finally made and the first date was organised,” Nomiki says.
“We learnt that we enjoyed many common activities and shared the same life priorities, we both loved being active, having picnics in the park, finding new places to try espresso martinis or a glass of wine, attending the opera, listening to classical music, our faith and cultural heritage, as well as the importance of family.”
The couple wed at St George Greek Orthodox Church, Brisbane, on November 23, 2019, before their reception at Hillstone St Lucia.
“The classic and elegant style was carried on in the whole wedding theme with everything matching shades of peach, white, ivory and gold with touches of greenery and cascading icicle lights hanging from the ceiling,” Nomiki says.
The couple credits a dream team of suppliers with helping to bring their elegant wedding vision to life.
“It was a truly love-filled and joyous day for all with memories to last a lifetime,” Nomiki says.
“We could not be more thankful for everyone’s work and genuine care in making our dream into a reality, we are still pinching ourselves.”

Personal touches adorned the elegant wedding, including the bride, a couture gown and jewellery designer, creating her own dress, as well as the bridesmaid, flower girl and mother of the bride outfits and jewellery. Nomiki paired her gown with Badgley Mischka heels and hair by Bella Brides.
“Nikolas organised the surprise proposal in the hinterland of Maleny at a Spicers Resort where a picnic was arranged overlooking the mountains. At the time of Nik asking me to marry him, there was also a double rainbow showering over us – it was simply magical,” the bride recalls.
“Both our engagement party and wedding featured our signature espresso martini, as well as live music with a string quartet and, during the wedding reception, a live Greek band,” the bride says.
The couple’s elegant cake was created by Deliberately Delicious.
