Samantha & Brendan celebrate classic church wedding in Melbourne

Work Christmas parties are often a chance to embarrass yourself in front of your colleagues, but Samantha O’Reilly and Brendan Tudor found love.

A little over four years later, and with a beautiful 14-month-old daughter, the pair married in a classic church wedding in their hometown, Melbourne.

Samantha, 27, and Brendan, 29, were wed by the groom’s uncle, Father Wally Tudor, at St Brigid’s Church, Carlton North, in front of 150 well-wishers. “You have discovered you are good to each other and good for each other,” he said during the ceremony.

After photos at Edinburgh Gardens amongst “dozens of hipster picnickers,” the newlyweds and their entourage made their way through the streets of Fitzroy to San Remo Ballroom, their reception venue. “Stunning atmosphere and delicious food,” praises Samantha.

She adds, “Our wedding was so special because I married the love of my life in front of all our family, friends and our beautiful daughter Ebony.”

And her final words of advice: “Eat the cake! After taking the time to carefully choose flavours and design our perfect cake, we were too busy dancing to taste it on the day.”

Samantha paired her ballroom-style bridal gown from Raffaele Ciuca with blush pink dresses for the bridesmaids.

Samantha says 14-month-old daughter Ebony was delighted to see her mum and dad get married.

Groom Brendan admits he’s “batting above his average”. Bride Samantha says she loves Brendan for being kind, supportive and funny.
