Lauren and Christopher set sail for elegant wedding in Melbourne

Lauren and Christopher could not have picked a more romantic setting for their first meeting if they tried.

“Chris and I met travelling Croatia,” Lauren explains. “We were fortunately paired on the same yacht for a one-week sail.”

Instantly smitten, the couple lived in London for about a year before moving to Melbourne.

“Our relationship moved quickly and was always easy. It felt right from the beginning,” Lauren says.

A birthday proposal later and the pair began planning their elegant wedding, setting the date for March 9, 2019.

“We exchanged our vows at St Peter and Paul's church in South Melbourne, followed by a reception at the stunning Brighton Receptions,” the bride says.

“It was a very elegant wedding, which was my preferred style. I found online platforms most helpful when finding suppliers.

“The day was absolutely perfect! Better than I could have ever imagined.”

Lauren's flowergirls wore bridal-inspired dresses from Ollie's Place Kidswear.

The elegant theme flowed right through to the invitations, created by Paperlust.

"I had never really dreamed of a wedding growing up, but we were both so excited and I absolutely loved wedding planning," Lauren says. "We were extremely organised and surprisingly I was not a bridezilla!"

Christopher and his groomsmen dressed to the elegant theme in tuxes from InStitchu.
