Kate and Michael designed their rustic wedding on the many unforgettable childhood memories each of them had of exploring national park land and forest.
“We wanted to be surrounded by the beauty, simplicity and tranquility of the forest,” explains the bride. “The Burrow was absolutely perfect. We fell in love with the venue from the second we got there — which may have had something to do with the warm greeting we received from their Labrador.”
With their dream venue locked in, along with a number of suppliers found on Easy Weddings, the pieces of Kate and Michael’s special day fell into place for a beautiful November 23, 2019 day.
“Our wedding was purely and genuinely us. Everything about it was raw, open and honest,” smiles Kate. “Our bridal party consisted of lifelong friends and Michael’s sisters, my 93-year-old grandmother was ring bearer, and my late brother’s best friend performed the MC role in his absence. The day was pure perfection.”

Mitch from Love is Love Celebrancy helped the Melbourne couple create a warm and genuine vibe for their forest ceremony.
The bridal bouquets, buttonholes, table runners and the incredible wedding arbour was created by Sassybird Flowers.
Kate and Michael, aged 31 and 33, first met when they swiped right to one another’s profiles on Tinder.
Kate’s father and his lifelong friend put together the Australian native flower arrangements for the reception at The Burrow.
