It was honestly so close and the judging was tough!
But after almost two weeks of voting and campaigning by our 12 finalists, we could only choose one winner.
And it gives us great pleasure to announce that Jessie and Adam of Sydney, with their photographer McKay Wedding Photography, have been crowned Easy Weddings’ 2018 Wedding of the Year.
Congrats from all of us at Easy Weddings!
Jessie and Adam headed to Centennial Vineyards in Bowral on November 4, 2017, for their understated, elegant nuptials with just under 120 guests. Jessie’s dear late mum was the most special guest of all, passing a month to the day of the wedding. “She made our wedding and walked down the aisle to give me away,” Jessie says. “Both Adam and I were extremely close to her.”
The couple, who have been together for nearly nine years, met at university and became engaged when Adam popped the question on holiday in Hamilton Island. “There are experiences in life that would haven’t had happened if Adam and I weren’t together. We have been a massive part of each others lives and can honestly say we have enjoyed every minute,” says the bride.
Photographer Darryn McKay captured the day among the vines beautifully, with the white colour scheme really popping against all the greenery that surrounded. His gorgeous photos saw the couple’s wedding shortlisted for our March 2018 competition which the couple went on to win. “Darryn is an incredible photographer,” praises the couple, “he’s so easy to deal with and he delivers.”
Jessie and Adam have won an all-inclusive second honeymoon to the Maldives, with 6 nights in an overwater bungalow at Adaaran Prestige Vadoo and $3,000 cash from Easy Weddings Honeymoons.
A massive shout-out to the other 11 finalists – we were completely blown away with how much effort, fun and creativity everyone went to!
