Jade and Robert head for the hills for romantic classic wedding

Congrats to Jade and Robert who’ve been crowned our February Wedding of the Month winners!
They are in the running for a luxe Thailand honeymoon with Melati Beach Resort & Spa.

Many brides will tell you the stress of planning a wedding is up there with that of moving house and starting a new job.

But this Adelaide bride wasn’t going to let it overwhelm her… especially seeing Easy Weddings had her back! “The Easy Weddings website was absolutely amazing and made my wedding day, planning and build up stress-free,” says Jade Platten, 27 of marrying Robert LeRay, 28. “The checklist was so easy to keep my timelines on track.”

The pair had been dating for 10 years before heading to the Adelaide Hills on October 8, 2016 for their romantic, classic wedding.

The couple invited 150 guests to help them celebrate the milestone, with both the ceremony and reception held at the Adelaide Hills Convention Centre. “We got married on our 10-year anniversary and our day was a true representation of who we are as a couple,” says the bride.

They enlisted the help of family for several aspects of the day, including a doughnut bar by the bride’s cousin who owns a food truck, and invitations created by the bride’s mum and sister.

The bride’s stunning gown, with intricate lace detail and two-tone skirt, was from Bridal on Pulteney.

Hues of blue and a splash of grey was the order of the day for Robert, dressed by Roger David, and his groomsmen.

“Over the past 10 years we have been by each other’s side for better and worse, we have been through so much together and it just made our day so much more special,” explains Jade.

Peonies, hydrangeas and cabbage roses were used to create the bridal bouquets.

The couple had a different take on the usual wishing well.
