Like many modern-day love stories, Andrea and Johnny’s began on Instagram.
“My friend and I were out at breakfast and Johnny asked who I was in her Instagram story. We then got talking and met up in Sydney for our first date. We ate, laughed, danced and it was this day that made me fall for him.”
Years later, the pair wed on December 22, 2018 alongside 150 guests at their elegant wedding held at Melbourne’s Fairy Tale venue, Quat Quatta.
For the newlyweds, the speeches stand out as a highlight of the day. “The whole day went so fast, but once we got to the speeches it was like we could finally breathe and take it all in. The words, tears and moments that we shared during this time was unforgettable and just pure love. How lucky we are.”
Johnny popped the question on Christmas Day in the pair’s newly renovated home. “Johnny told me that my Christmas present was behind the ball on the Christmas tree. When I had a look and turned that ball around, it said ‘Marry Me’. There he was, on his knee, holding a box with a ring in it.”
Andrea describes their theme as “Something exotic, lots of greenery, with a Hampton’s vibe.”
The newlyweds honeymooned on the Amalfi Coast, the Greek Islands, Croatian Islands and in Spain.
