Gloria and Victor’s cultural wedding combining Hmong, Chinese and Western traditions

Gloria, 35, and Victor, 39, celebrated their coming together with a weekend-long cultural wedding combining Hmong, Chinese and Western traditions.

Starting on December 29, 2018, the couple kicked off celebrations with a colourful Hmong wedding. Guests wore colourful outfits, and relatives joined in eating a feast made by aunties and uncles.

The following day, on December 30, 2018, a morning traditional tea ceremony was followed by Chinese lunch at Quest. Then 161 guests joined the pair for an Australia ceremony and reception at Lindley Estate in Victoria.

Many personal touches featured throughout the weekend-long celebrations, including DIY elements such as wedding invitations, table arrangements, planting succulent plants as part of the centrepieces and designing the venue decor.

On the morning of their official wedding day, the pair wore red to present Gloria's Hong Kong heritage.

"Lyn was amazing. She gave me honest opinion in choosing seasonal flowers and the button holes and bouquets were exactly like I had imagined," the bride says of Melbourne florist, The Flower Snob.

Aspire Limousines provided the luxury wedding day transport.
