Not everybody believes in fate, but it would be hard for Adele Semaan and Anthony De lesi not to put their relationship down to destiny.
The couple, aged 34 and 37 respectively, met while they were both with other people. Adele needed to sell her house, Anthony was good at that. “I appointed Anthony as my real estate agent in June 2013,” explains Adele. “I hadn’t met him before, but something about his presence gave me a warm feeling about him.” But Adele had a boyfriend and she noticed Anthony’s wedding ring, so that was that.
But some months later, as fate would have it, they were both single and Anthony swiftly asked Adele on a date. After a tough first year, dealing with remnants of their past relationships, the couple grew strong. “It took a toll on me, and tried to end it many times, but he wouldn’t let me go,” says Adele.
They married at their casual cocktail wedding on January 30, 2016 at Port Melbourne Yacht Club. “I just wanted a wedding by the beach and big party celebration minus all the formalities apart from cutting the cake and quick thank-you to all,” describes the bride. The lebanese wedding for 150, catered by Peter Rowland, was planned in just three months and Adele credits online tools and good suppliers for the speedy organising! “The wedding planners did a remarkable job to give us what we wanted.”
