Ciara and Brett wed at the beautiful Tides Byron Estate

After a romantic national park proposal, high school sweethearts Ciara and Brett wanted a weekend getaway wedding with their closest friends and family. Tides Byron Estate provided a stunning setting for their celebration.

The couple envisioned a wedding that would serve as a retreat for families and friends. The Tides Byron Estate, with its charm and versatility, emerged as the ideal venue. Ciara explained, “Having everything in one location was crucial for us. We wanted a big house where our families could stay and enjoy the occasion together. The fact that we had the venue for the whole weekend allowed us to host a recovery, soaking up the events of the night before.”

The wedding day unfolded seamlessly, with the ceremony beneath the fig tree providing a unique touch. Ciara described the event flow, “The rows of macadamia trees doubled as the aisle, creating a distinctive atmosphere we loved. After the 3 pm ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails, including Margaritas and Elderflower Gin, with a stunning view of the coast from the reception hall.”

Choosing to forego a traditional bridal table, the couple opted to sit among their guests at three large parallel tables. The reception, filled with laughter and joy, seamlessly transitioned into a night of dancing on a massive dance floor—an essential element for Ciara and Brett.

In Season Catering crafted a menu that complemented the couple’s desire for a shared dining experience. The couple, eschewing a traditional wedding cake, opted for a dessert table strategically placed near the dancefloor.

Reflecting on the venue selection, Ciara emphasized, “Having everything in one location, including accommodation, was our priority. We wanted to create a weekend away, and Tides Byron Estate perfectly embodied that vision.”

We knew straight away when we visited the venue that we wanted to get married underneath the massive fig tree nestled amongst the gorgeous rows of macadamia trees. We wanted to have everything in the one location, including accommodation, as we really wanted to create the weekend away.
