An elegant, modern celebration for Maddie and Noah at Ocean View Estates Winery & Restaurant

At Ocean View Estates Winery & Restaurant, many couples we see find the ideal backdrop to create an elegant, timeless celebration that remains distinctly personal, and Maddie and Noah struck that exact balance for their August wedding.

Getting ready on site at the Winemaker’s Cottage set a calm, unhurried tone for the morning, while Noah and his groomsmen opted for a grand arrival via helicopter from the Sunshine Coast, taking in panoramic views of the Glasshouse Mountains before touchdown. Down by the lakeside gazebo, framed by rolling vineyards and grazing highland cattle, the couple exchanged personalised vows officiated by Caity the Celebrant. Maddie walked down the aisle in a sleek Oui the Label gown from After Five Bridal, accessorised with her mother’s double-strand pearl necklace, while her brother served as man of honour alongside bridesmaids in powder blue Azazie dresses.

Following a bubble exit, guests gathered on the deck for canapes, drinks, and fireside conversation as the sun dipped behind the hills. The celebration then moved indoors for a four-course dinner curated by the venue team, featuring crispy pork belly bites, braised beef cheek, and lemon myrtle panna cotta, complemented by a two-tiered mudcake by Whip Cakes. Pastel florals by Wallflower Floral Designs paired with styling elements from One Stop Wedding Shop brought the room together, balancing the winery’s natural textures with modern detailing. Photographer and videographer Luke Middlemiss captured every phase seamlessly, while DJ Cobe Malaki carried the celebration onto the dancefloor late into the night. Reflecting on their choice of venue, Maddie highlights the value of comprehensive planning: “When selecting a venue, the most important thing to us was the inclusions. Ocean View Estates fit that requirement by having an endless list of inclusions, with the option to have in-house styling or DIY. It was about ease of planning the biggest and happiest day of our lives.”

"Our venue, Ocean View Estates, exceeded our expectations from the very first visit. Allison and her team worked extremely hard to show us all the options they had and accommodated all our requests without hesitation. Caity was also truly amazing at setting the tone for our whole day, tailoring everything to what we envisioned for our ceremony."
