Situated in a sandstone building dating back to the 1830s, Banjo Paterson Gardens offer a fusion of history and beauty for your garden wedding ceremony. Classified by the National Trust, Rockend is where A. B. Banjo Paterson lived as a young man with his grandmother.
Located within 5 acres of parkland, the Banjo Paterson Cottage Restaurant is surrounded by meticulously manicured gardens, making it a stunning setting for garden wedding ceremonies. Combining classic romance with charm, the restaurant itself features several open fireplaces and views of the garden from two fully enclosed verandas.
This award winning venue is primarily used for functions, and places emphasis on its quality of food and beverages.
Just below the cottage, on the Parramatta River foreshore, is a tidal jetty allowing access by water taxi. This acts as a unique opportunity for the bride and groom to arrive or depart by boat. For those arriving by road, the car park allows for over 50 cars.
