So, he’s popped the question and the mere thought of planning your wedding – with all the things you must now worry about – is making you feel like you’re about to combust.
Fear not. Wedding expo season is almost upon us!
The Ultimate Bridal Event in Melbourne and Sydney in January, 2015 may be the kick-start needed to catapult you from no idea to bold idea. And if you’ve never been to one, you’re in for a treat.
Aside from aisle upon aisle of wedding suppliers to suit every taste and budget (where you could, quite literally, choose your gown, cake, venue and photographer all in one day, under one roof), here’s what else you can expect to see at the first of three 2015 events by The Australian Bridal Service:
Galia Lahav’s 2015 collection. The Israeli fashion house in conjunction with Eternal Bridal is launching its jaw-dropping ready-to-wear bridal collection exclusively at this event. With gowns ranging between $10-20K, they may not suit everyone’s budget, but boy will they stun.
Inspiration cubes. Want to know how a Hollywood or shabby-chic or vintage wedding might look? This year’s expo features rooms stylishly decorated in popular and inspiring themes that will really get your ideas flowing.
Industry master classes. Some of the biggest names in the wedding industry will be conducting how-to classes and giving professional advice on trends and tips in these interactive presentations.
Couture-style catwalk show. The almost-hourly fashion parades showcase dozens of spectacular gowns, from Australian and overseas labels, as well as outfits for the entire bridal party. Oh, and you’ll even catch a cheeky glimpse of what goes underneath, with Calvin Klein’s latest underwear and lingerie collection.
Who influenced your selection of wedding decorations or theme?
Disney Frozen gown. The official Elsa wedding gown designed by Alfred Angelo in conjunction with Disney is also being flown in exclusively for this event. As well, you’ll see the 2015 Disney Princess Collection inspired by other Disney princesses such as Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella.
$100,000 prize pool. There are oodles of competitions to enter and a total prize pool of $100,000 including a luxury honeymoon to Haymen Island. All brides also go into the draw to win a weekend escape at Crown.
And that’s just some of what’s to see. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.ultimatebridalevent.com.au.
