If I hire a videographer just for the ceremony, will it be cheaper than the whole day?
?? Yep—ceremony-only coverage is usually cheaper than a full-day package.
Think 1–2 hours instead of 10, fewer edits, less footage. It’s perfect if you’re on a budget but still want the big moment captured.
Just ask for a custom quote—most videographers are happy to tailor something simple and sweet.
Typically, hiring a videographer for just the ceremony may be cheaper than hiring them for the entire day, as it requires less time and resources. However, the specific pricing and packages may vary among different videographers, so it's always best to inquire about their pricing and packages directly to get a clear understanding of the costs involved. Additionally, keep in mind that while having video coverage of just the ceremony may capture an important moment, having video coverage of the entire day can provide a more complete and memorable representation of your wedding day.

Yes. We offer a separate package that allows you to relive the ceremony a year down the line as if you are there again on the day.
It will be cheaper, but ultimately, you want to have the cinematographer as long as possible so he is able to capture the best parts of your day. For instance, if you book them for only 6 hours, which 6 hours will you choose? if its for the ceremony and some locations, you will miss out on the best parts of the morning preperation and setup. those moments you can appreciate later on. the same applies for the reception, this amazing period of time will be lost. So yes, it will be cheaper, but unlike the flowers and the cake, which will only last one day, your films will last forever...which one will you remember more? this is what your budget should focus on.

Realistically a videographer would like to be booked for the whole day as it takes his/her services out of the equation for bigger jobs. Videographers starting out will be chomping at the bit so to speak and offer you basic Ceremony only services and if that is all you require then this may be the best option. However if you are looking for something of a high standard with a reputable provider it's unlikely they will be keen to jump on a ceremony only job unless it worked around an existing job. Weekday weddings would have more flexibility as opposed to peak days such as Saturday.
Absolutely. But some videographers have a set call-out fee. Sometimes this is $350 even if it's just for an hour. So ask about packages because you might get a 3 hour package for $500 and it's much better value.
Most of the times it will. Some studios might not be interested in working for a smaller pay where as some other ones can offer a fair rate. My advice would be always get a quote from at least 3 videographers before making your decision.
Yes, absolutely. We offer custom packages that can be built to suit your specific needs and wants, and we only charge for what we do and the time spent to do it!
yes, most of the time. Some companies don't offer Ceremony only

Yes, a ceremony only package will usually cost less than full day coverage, so it is a fair option if budget is the main thing steering this. The honest catch is that it often is not as much cheaper as you would expect. Most of us can only take one wedding per day, especially on a Saturday, so whether we are with you for one hour or ten, that date is booked out either way. That is why the saving is smaller than the hours might suggest.
If you do go ceremony only, my biggest tip is to still have it properly edited rather than just handed raw footage. A ceremony filmed well usually runs on a couple of cameras with a separate audio recorder clipped near the celebrant or groom, so your vows and the readings are captured clean and not lost to wind or a chatty guest three rows back. Pulling those angles and that audio together into one polished film is where it actually starts to feel like a memory rather than a recording, and for us that editing all happens in house, never sent offshore.
One thing worth weighing up before you decide: the moments either side of the ceremony are often the ones couples tell us they treasure most later. The nervous getting ready, the first look, your dad's face, the speeches, the dance floor near the end of the night. If the ceremony is genuinely all you want filmed, book it with confidence. But if you are only trimming back to save money, it can be worth asking us about the smallest full coverage option too, because the gap is sometimes closer than people assume.
