How much does a videographer in melbourne usually cost?

I am looking into quotes and have been quoted $3,500. Is it cheaper or better to get a bundle video and photo deal?

As a professional wedding videographer in Melbourne, I can tell you that the cost can vary depending on the level of experience, the length of coverage, and the overall quality of the final product. Prices in Melbourne can range from a few hundred dollars to several thousand.

At Love Magic Films, my prices start at $1799 for a basic package. However, I highly recommend doing some research to find a videographer who fits within your budget and meets your specific needs. Don't hesitate to reach out to me for more information or a personalized quote.

Hello Farina, we are based in Sydney, but ultimately the prices will depend on the skill and proficiency of the cinematographer. If you are willing to pay more, then you will have a higher quality film. When considering flowers or the wedding cake, these can be up to $1000, these only last one day....a film will last forever. The skills involved in filming are of upmost importance.

You can definitely get a cheaper videographer than that! I only charge $1300 for a full day filming (8 hours) that includes 1-2 hour video plus highlights reel.

If you get a bundle then you have to like both the photographer and videographers style. Hiring them separately can be much cheaper.

Cinematography, like Photography, has a massive spectrum of costs.  You could find someone to make your Video from as little as $800, or for as much as $10,000.  The thing to keep in mind, always, is that you get what you pay for.

Most videographers do Packages so you can choose what you want filmed. This is a great way to find out what you are looking for

Hey Farina :)

Some wedding videographers don't always just base their price on their work or the industry price. I myself base it on affordability and passion and loving what we do. Some charge as low as $1100 for 6-8 hour coverage and still competes with top wedding studios in Melbourne and sometimes the start ups can create even better Wedding Videos than other studios thats been doing it for years.

Hi Farina,

Alot of different skills are used when creating a high quality wedding video. Prices will often be higher with a company and it does depend on what you want covered and for how long (not to mention whether what you are after involves a second videographer). Editing the film is also a large and specialised process - another skillset involved.

You will be watching this film for years to come- with your grandchildren, no doubt! So, you want to make sure you don't go with price alone -  you will often get what you pay for.

I am an independent videographer and my prices range from $1300 - $2700. Please check out my page and feel free to get in touch for a quote :)
