Do many wedding venues open on Christmas Day?

yes

Its not a normal time to have weddings due to the religious holiday and that everything would cost so much more. We advise our couples to avoid public holidays if they can.

We are closed on Christmas Day. I am not sure if you will find any venue open. Good Luck with the search

Our venue is non denominational so we often have clients here over christmas 

Wishing you a lovely Christmas but we are sorry to advise we do not do weddings on Christmas Day at the Tuggeranong Homestead.  We would like our staff and their families to enjoy their Christmas together as they have worked very hard for us during the year.  Wishing you all the best.

We haven't so far! But there is always a possibility. It really depends on being able to source staff willing to work on Christmad Day and negotiating with clients a hire fee in keeping with the elevated staffing costs. Hi, Congratulations on your engagement. Mayfield is closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We are open 363 days of the year, but those two days we are closed to allow our Mayfielders to spend time with their families. Happy Holidays.

Stonebarn will certainly open on Christmas Day for a Christmas wedding. We don't receive many enquiries for this so don't usually open. Please don't hestitate to get in touch if you'd like to discuss this further - we still have availability for Christmas 2019 if you're keen to book!

Hi There, 

It really depends on the venue.

We have several venues that are open on Christmas day every year including Ludlow Bar & Dining Room, however, it is an incredibly busy day for us and a public holiday (so staffing costs are much higher) so if we were to take a wedding booking we would need to ensure a minimum spend was met. 

I would advise asking your preferred venues as they may happily open for your event or take a function on Christmas day provided minimum spends are met. 

Depending on the location you are after and the size and time of the booking I would be happy to chat with you about venue options - otherwise take a look at our listings (Ludlow Bar, Hophaus, All Hands Brewing House, and Temperance Hotel).
