Should I be asking every vendor I inquire with if they are same-sex friendly?

I saw a horror story on reddit about a venue.. so I am now worried.

Absolutely a Given however for your peace of mind and to feel 100% accepted by everyone involved on your special day I would still enquire. People and venues that have problems with Same Sex should be losing business due to their small mindedness!!

If you are a function venue that advertises weddings and other functions it should not be determined if its same sex or not. We have had same sex ceremonies at our venue. Everyone should be treated equal.

It is absolutely your right to ask, if of course that is important to you. If you then receive an unfavourable response you can at least make further decisions on a more well informed basis.
