As a business we are required by law to have $10 million liability insurance which will cover any injuries that may occur to your party while staying at our venue.
It's not something we've encountered before, but it would totally be up to the bride & groom and what they feel comfortable with. Most venues would already have their own insurance so it would be thier personal choice whether to purchase additional cover.
We have not come across ayone at this stage who has. it is really up to each individual.

Most Venues have insurance themselves, you should not have to get the insurance for them,
