Does a restaurant need to know you’re having a secret wedding?

After a 10 yr engagement it’s time to finally get married! Planning a secret wedding at my 40th bday at a local beachfront restaurant, do you have to book the restaurant using their ‘wedding ‘ packages or can you book/plan under their ‘event’ packages? Just not sure about etiquette regarding this. Not wanting a formal event, just something special without all the wedding fuss, and keep expenses down. Thank you!
