Hi, what is the first thing you need to spend money on?

Hi, we are currently living in broome. Our wedding will be in Perth. I know we will need the help planning. So, a wedding planner is needed. But do i spend the money on them first? or should i hold off until we save up more money? My planner is charging 4,200....im afraid if i pay them first because photographers are also expensive. So im not sure what to lock in. Our budget is 30,000 including everything. We are paying for the wedding ourselves. Of that 30,000 the planner fee comes off instantly? how do i know it won't be a waste of money....because i also feel that chews a portion of my dress and other things .Thank you so much for your advice!
