We offer over 20 separate outdoor garden rooms and entertaining areas, along with indoor entertaining areas. Merribee’s gardens feature seasonal vegetables, herbs and fruits, along with extensive flowering plants and trees, linked by lawns and over two kilometres of granite paths that draw you around the grounds.
The Barn at Merribee – we have a 160 sqm timber and corrugated iron barn for indoor functions. We supply a full complement of trestle tables, bentwood chairs, glassware, crockery, cutlery, linen, etc, rustic bar, toilets, refrigerated cabinets and lighting. Guest car parking – we have car parking for over 60 cars, with drop-off areas for buses/mini buses.
Catering – we have a 50 sqm commercial kitchen alongside the barn in The Old Grain Shed. You may use a cook from your own party, or we can offer you a list of excellent local caterers and food & beverage suppliers. Outside of your main function, Merribee has a catering service to tailor meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner for your staying guests.
Vintage furniture & props for hire - This includes rustic dessert tables, ladders, old glass doors, blackboards, easels, galvanised pails, galvanised tubs, old timber crates, bentwood stools with velvet cushions, white peacock chairs, wicker armchairs, etc. Flowers – Merribee grows wonderfully fragrant and frilly roses. Depending on the season, we can supply roses by the bucket for your decorations.
Merribee was an absolutely beautiful venue. On day event staff were good - my only feedback would be for the amount you hire the venue for I thought the Merribee events team would be more involved in the lead up to the day and during the day than what they were for our wedding. You'll need to hire an on day events coordinator/ stylist as they don't set anything on your tables for you, only position furniture for you. Chelsea - Events Manager was lovely, accommodating to any site visits required prior to the wedding and any questions we had. Overall a beautiful venue to get married at.
Merribee is an incredible venue surrounded by manicured gardens, butterflies and beautiful staff. Would love to visit for our anniversary over the many years to come!
We stayed at the Silo at Merribee, it was the most beautiful romantic private place and the most amazing garden to explore.
The accommodation was unique and well thought out, laying in the super comfy bed to be woken by the cows in the dairy farm next door was charming
Merribee's property is absolutely stunning! the gardens, the barn, the cottage and the silo are all amazing. We are so happy we stuck with our guns and went with the property we loved. Belinda and Emma we're a great help and even with all the COVID stress we worked everything out and had an amazing day!
