Can you have your wedding ceremony, photographs and wedding reception at the Tuggeranong Homestead ?

Bride and Groom may like to get ready, have the wedding ceremony, photographs and wedding reception on the 23 hectare's of the Homestead property. It is up to the Bride and Groom what they decide to do to make their memories for the day.

When can you have access to the property on your wedding day ?

You can have your sylist come at 8.30am - tablecloths will be on the tables at reception by 9.00am ready for Bride and Groom to decorate.

Are pets allowed ?

Yes, we would be delighted if you wanted to bring your pets.

How much does it cost ?

We only have three costs

1. Exclusive Venue Hire - homestead, gardens, machinery shed, old shearing sheds and most of the natural, country, bushland,grazed paddocks

2. Catering per person

3. Beverages are at Bride and Grooms discretion - NO HIDDEN COSTS

Is there enough parking and what fees apply ?

There is plenty of free parking - you can also leave cars overnight if you have too good a night.

Our day was everything we ever dreamed of. From the very first moment we got in touch with the homestead, they supported us every step of the way. They welcomed us to visit anytime, which made us feel completely reassured and confident in how we wanted everything to come together. Michael gave us a beautiful ceremony and made accommodations for our guests, child and dog. Our photographer spent a lot of quality time with us and genuinely cared about getting great photos. And we got the photos back very quickly!

Are there non-wedding "wedding" venues out there?

For the planners and couples who have pulled off a forest or camp-style wedding for 100 guests: what are the best alternative venue categories to search for? We want a relaxed, campfire-and-tents vibe without the restrictions of a traditional wedding venue. Are we better off looking at private property rentals, or are there specific types of public/council land that allow music, alcohol, and overnight camping?

Canberra Homestead - Tuggeranong & Events

At Tuggeranong Homestead, we sit somewhere in the middle. We’re not a traditional ballroom-style venue, so couples can absolutely create a relaxed, outdoor celebration with plenty of space, gardens, in door outdoor barn and flexibility in how the day feels. However, due to heritage requirements, we’re not able to offer onsite camping. Many of our couples who love that “weekend wedding” feel simply arrange nearby discounted accommodation, so they still get the relaxed vibe without the logistics of camping onsite.

We are looking for a venue in South East QLD or Northern NSW that has a late curfew past 1am or no curfew at all would be even better please . options for BYO food and Alcohol would be good but not compulsory.

Canberra Homestead - Tuggeranong & Events

Tuggeranong Homestead has a liquor licence that allows them to trade until 12.00midnight.  The bar closes at 12midnight but waits for guests to finish their last drinks. Generally if wanting to go to early hours of morning, one can walk out front gate to Calwell Club which is open until 5.00am, or guests go into Canberra City. Hope this helps. Ann
