Sydney Sundancer is a ketch rigged motor sailing yacht, thus combining the stability and comfort of a motor boat with the grace and serenity of a sailing yacht, and is licensed to carry in excess of 70 guests plus crew. However, friendly owners Lynne & John Boyce prefer to limit the number of guests to 50 thus ensuring everyone’s personal comfort at all times (through adequate space). She is super luxuriously fitted in teak below deck and there is a large canopy which extends virtually the whole length of the vessel giving perfect protection in all weathers.
Lynne & John have won the prestigious Australian Bridal Industry Academy prize for Best Harbour Wedding Reception Vessel, five years in a row ! This is particularly noteworthy because ACTUAL Bridal appraisal of the service (in a number of categories including “value for money”) in their own wedding, is THE evaluation criteria on which the award is based !
When the wedding ceremony is conducted aboard, the yacht is located immediately in front of The Sydney Opera House so it’s arches form a “Giant Cathedral” behind Bride and Groom !
Lynne & John’s service includes free wedding photographs and simply the finest food afloat. The American gourmet magazine "Bon Appetit" has written to Lynne requesting to publish one of her recipes in the US so shipboard feast enjoyed aboard exceeds expectation and surpasses much of what is served in leading Sydney restaurants.
