💍 I’m a Teacher and became a wedding venue owner completely by accident… Our son's search for a venue for his wedding started our journey to build a venue at our family farm! 🌿 My family has farmed this property since 1916, and every corner of this place has a story. 🚧What followed was what we like the wildest episode of the block to complete the dream! 📞When you call or message, it's me who answers. Our heritage chapel seats 115–120 guests on pews, with additional standing room at the back and outside. Our reception barn seats up to 150 for a sit-down celebration, or up to 250 guests cocktail style. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a big, beautiful party — we've got the space for you.
Absolutely. Every booking includes exclusive use of the entire property for the duration of your package. The farm is yours — no other events, no other couples, no strangers wandering through. Just you, your people, and 100 acres of Queensland countryside. ??
Quite a lot, actually! We have a chapel and Barn, kitchen facilities, amenities block, a camping area, 3 cabins and a 3 bedroom house is coming soon. All packages include tables, chairs, Crockery, cutlery, glassware, linens, some decorations AV equipment (Bluetooth, HDMI, microphones), lawn games, a golf cart for guest transport around the property, bar facilities, wine barrels and stools, a fire pit area, gas heaters and so much more. We believe in no nasty surprises - what you see is what you get.
Yes! If you're planning an outdoor ceremony, our beautiful chapel is always available as a wet weather backup. It seats 115–120 guests and is just as stunning on a rainy day as it is in the sunshine. ?
Can we choose our own caterer? Yes — and we love that you can! There are no restrictions on who you bring in to feed your guests. Food trucks, private chefs, family catering, a grazing table spread — the choice is entirely yours. ??
Do you have any caterers you recommend? We do have a preferred vendor list that we share with couples once a booking is confirmed, and it includes some absolute gems. We also have a secret weapon caterer who specialises in shared platters and buffet-style meals at incredible value — details shared after booking! ??
Is there a kitchen on site? Yes, we have bar and kitchen facilities available for your caterers to use on the day.
How does the bar work?
This is where you can really save! Because you're hiring the venue, you have complete freedom with how you manage beverages. Popular options include:

Is there accommodation on site?
Yes! All full wedding packages include three on-site cabins (each sleeping up to 4 guests) and use of our campground.
Does the campground have showers?
The campground has a toilet block but no powered sites or shower facilities. It is really just designed for a place for guests to stay on the night of the wedding.
How far is Stockyard Valley from major centres?
We're about 30 minutes from Noosa and 20 minutes from Gympie — close enough to be accessible, far enough to feel like a genuine escape. ??
Is there transport available for guests?
There is no Uber service in our area, but taxis are available from Gympie. We're happy to point you toward local bus hire options especially if guests are wanting to stay in one location eg Amamoor.
Is there parking on site? Yes, there is ample parking available on the property for guests with their own vehicles.
Do you have an in-house coordinator or stylist?
We don't offer in-house coordination or styling. The beauty of our 3 day packages is that with the help of a few of your nearest and dearest, you can have the venue looking exactly as you want it within a few hours of your first day! If you don't want to do it yourself... we have a trusted preferred vendor list with some wonderful coordinators and stylists who know our venue well. They're shared with you after your booking is confirmed.
Do vendors need insurance?
Yes — all vendors working at Stockyard Valley must hold their own public liability insurance. Stockyard Valley holds its own venue insurance, but this does not extend to external vendors.
When can we access the venue for setup?
You'll have access the day before your wedding for setup and decorating, and the day after for pack-down. Full instructions, checklists, and an arrival walkthrough are all provided to make the process smooth. ?
How do we secure our date?
Simply get in touch and we'll arrange a tour! We'll hold your preferred date for 7 days following your visit. After that, a $2,000 deposit locks it in officially.
What if we need more time to decide after our tour?
No pressure — we're flexible. If you need a little more time, just let us know. We'd rather you feel confident than rushed.

We have fire pits at each of our cabins and you can definitely have a fire pit at the reception area also.
Venue with on-site accommodations
Need help looking for a venue for weekend wedding. Total guest 50 people, with on-site accommodation for at least 20 people. Preferred outside catering and BYO liquour but not a deal breaker.
Stockyard Valley
Our micro wedding package covers a max 50 guests. We have onsite accommodation with 3 cabins for 12 guests currently and plans for adding an additional 6 to 8 guest accommodation early in 2026. At our venue you are free to do whatever you wish with catering and we are most definitely a BYO alcohol venue. We would love to hear from you.
