Gibraltar Hotel Bowral provides a variety of wet weather options for your ceremony and reception, ranging from the Gallery, with floor to ceiling windows, overlooking the beautiful golf course to our 420m2 Ballroom, which has panoramic windows overlooking manicured gardens towarsd Mount Gibraltar. Our experienced Wedding Services team will be there onsite to ensure an appropriate wet weather transition is succesfully achieved ????.
There sure is! We have a large carpark onsite, providing 50+ spots complimentary to attendees. We can also easily arrange transfers too.
Gibraltar Hotel Bowral is an easy 90 minute drive from Sydney and Canberra. It is located near the Bowral town centre and train station in the Southern Highlands.

Harvey's Bar is an incredible bar, which is famous for it's incredible cocktails, live music and views across Mount Gibraltar.
It is a popular after-party spot for wedding guests, who find themselves dancing till the late AM and enjoying leisurely chats on our lounge area. Harvey's Bar is located on site, only a short stroll down the hotel hallway from the lobby area.
For guests opting for an early night at the hotel, you won't hear the music, as the bar is sound-proof ????.

Great question,
An all in one venue is especially attractive for you and your guests, somewhere that can offer you the ceremony, reception and accommodation for all of your guests at the same venue. This means you won't have the expense of having to hire cars to take you from where you get ready, to the ceremony and then onto the reception and your guests won't have to worry about transport to the ceremony and reception, nor will they be at a loose end while the bridal party are off having photo's between the ceremony and the reception.
If you are looking at an outdoor ceremony ask you venue what their wet weather back up is. The weather is something no one can predict or control, for piece of mind you want to make sure the indoor wet weather back up is equally as stunning as your preferred outdoor ceremony location to avoid last minute disappointment and stress on the Big Day.
It's also a great idea to ask your venue what facilities they have for after the reception finishes, often your guests will want to continue celebrating, e.g. does the venue have a bar, how late is the license and how late will it stay open, Can they guarantee the Bar will stay open for your guests after the receptions ends. Its nice for the guest who want to keep celebrating to be able to do so with out having to be split up and catch cabs to another offsite venue.
