About
I am a retired rainforest ecologist, artist and avid garden designer. Turning this garden into 2ha of paradise has brought me a lot of joy. I love seeing the look on visitors faces when they first come here! Having had a garden wedding myself and attended many others, I know what it takes to create an amazing garden wedding! Our stunning gardens have been created and carefully maintained to give you and your guests a wonderful experience.

FAQ
We are a licensed venue so cannot allow BYO alcohol of any kind. If you want to serve a special wine we can order this for you. We provide bar staff to serve wine, beer and soft drinks as per RSA requirements.
As we are a Show Garden we only allow flower petals or rice. Bubbles are also lovely.
We have a lovely art gallery space with can be used in wet weather. If the occasional shower is forecast I would suggest the bridal party have some lovely parasols on hand. If rain is forecast we would hold the ceremony in the art gallery.
Of course! We can arrange to show you through the gardens and discuss the day in detail at any time that suits you and your party.
As we only have 20 wedding slots available each year, it is best to book well ahead for your preferred date, especially if you want to get married in Spring and early Summer when the garden is paticularly glorious!
As we are a garden venue rather than a function centre we ask that you hire the number of seats you require. They can be hired locally and delivered straight to the wedding garden.
We have parking for about 70 cars and plenty of bus parking is also available.
Yes, however our classic fee is for weddings from about 3.30pm as we can provide exclusive access from that time on weekends. As we are open to the public until 4pm or 5 pm on weekends we would close early for your wedding. If you want a week-day wedding we can give you exclusive access most days and times. Please enquire if you have an earlier time in mind.
Yes of course. Our gardens are especially designed for wedding and pre-wedding photography.
No, venue hire is the same regardless of the day. There may be a small extra charge for bar-staff if you require drinks served after the wedding ceremony.
