The Rivendell Experience
Your ceremony can take place in a secluded garden nook, the magical secret garden, or on the expansive lawns under the open sky. Receptions flow naturally onto the lawns with marquee or tipi setups. Our venue is pretty versatile and we offer space for weddings from elopements and up to 150 guests. The ceremony can be held in our gardens and the reception on our sprawling lawns surrounded by nature or in our beautiful wooden cellar door building. The indoor space can host up to 90 guests cocktail style.
Rivendell offers two options for drinks service at your wedding:
At Rivendell we have nine holiday homes available for hire should you wish to stay on site. The holiday homes are fully self contained and vary from 3 to 5 bedrooms. Booking of the holiday homes is an optional extra for your special day. All of the holiday homes have access to use of the onsite tennis court and are within walking distance of the ceremony and reception area as well as the cellar door.
Yes - we are a dog friendly venue and welcome your four legged friend to join you. A couple of the holiday homes on site are also dog friendly so they can stay the night with you.
Rivendell hosts a great variety of beautiful photo backdrops on the property. You can choose between vineyards, rustic fields, forest and native bush, dams and large trees to mention a few. And of course our beautiful gardens. We are also situated only 8 minutes from Smiths beach - one of the world famous beaches of the Margaret River region with the sun setting over the ocean every night...
Yes, we encourage couples to make the most of their destination wedding here at Rivendell. The cellar door offers the opportuinity to gather together for platters or cheese boards alongside wine tastings (or beers for those that prefer!). The gardens are perfect for a picnic or book a few tables on our deck overlooking the gardens for your gathering.
Yes you are welcome to add a cocktail hour before your reception or a welcome cocktail upon arrival at the reception. If you choose our premium beverage package you can include one sigature cocktail in your seven hour drinks package.
We offer our premium range of Rivendell Estate wines alongside a selection of beers, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages. A coffee and tea package can also be added if you would like to offer this to your guests.
Our beautiful gardens provide the most popular ceremony spots on site. We also offer ceremonies in the bush, by large peppermint trees and with the backdrop of our farm dams.
