Situated in the Hunter Valley, Dalwood Estate is a historic, winery wedding venue, with this stunning estate claiming the title of Australia’s oldest, riverfront vineyard. Resting along the banks of the Hunter River, this breathtaking wedding venue is just waiting to entertain and impress your loved ones with its natural beauty. Formerly known as Wyndham Estate, Dalwood Estate has recently re-opened under its original name, paying homage to its history as one of the oldest vineyards in Australia - first established in 1828.

The location is certainly a highlight for couples, however, the expansive function centre and cellar door, built in 1904 from local sandstone hand-cut by convicts, is just as impressive. The function centre features a number of rooms that can be styled for intimate micro weddings or larger occasions. It looks out over meticulously-groomed, lush vineyards that make a stunning backdrop for a wedding. The vineyards offer spectacular settings for photographs with flourishing vines, historic buildings, open green fields, and a gently flowing river all offering a magnificent setting. If you’d prefer an outdoor wedding under the stars, a marquee overlooking the vineyards can be perfectly positioned to take advantage of the tranquil ambience

Dalwood Estate’s weddings are catered superbly by the renowned restaurant MEET. While the delicious wines are from the home-grown Hunter Valley vines of Dalwood, Hungerford Hill, and the legendary Sweetwater. The estate has a dedicated wedding planner and stylist who will bring your wedding vision to life, perfecting even the most minor detail.

Our venue was just beautiful. We wanted a venue that had both a great ceremony spot and excellent reception space. Wyndham Estate had both and also an amazing wet weather option for the ceremony (we didn't need it though). The staff were so lovely and every time we visited the venue we felt at home with everyone. Such a lovely team to deal with in the lead up to our wedding. Perfect venue for a Bride and Groom wanting excellent wine, food and staff. Thank you Wyndham Estate for everything!! Andy & Mel xx

Beautiful location and venue, food was delicious and plenty of. All of our guests were commenting about delicious the food was and that there was plenty of. The function co-ordinator was most accommodating and ensured our reception ran smoothly on the night.

The setting is spectacular, one of the best in the Hunter. Although it rained on the day, their indoor option for the ceremony had to be one of the best - the Cask Room (the outdoor venues we could not use are amazing also). But luckily, the rain cleared for our photos and were able to utilise some of their numerous picturesque backdrops (eg, vines, panoramas, Dalwood House). Hanna and Stephanie were crucial to the day going well, and the fact that we organised the whole thing in three months made no difference to the quality of anything. Andrew the Chef created a share-platter menu which was a big hit with all our guests, as they appreciated being able to try everything, not just what was plonked in front of them. Food was very important for us, so their seasonal approach appealed to us and it was great to hear our guests raving about the food the next day. Overall, a great venue, amazing service, extremely accommodating staff - we could not have asked for more.
