Dalwood Estate is the Queen of Hunter Valley wedding venues, with undulating vineyards resting along the banks of the Hunter River, waiting to entertain guests and impress with her grace and beauty.
Dalwood Estate (formerly known as Wyndham Estate) has recently re-opened under its original name, paying homage to its history as one of the oldest vineyards in Australia, first established in 1828. The vineyard has been meticulously groomed to showcase the glorious natural beauty of Australia’s oldest, riverfront vineyard.
The expansive function centre and cellar door was built in 1904 from local sandstone hand-cut by convicts. It looks out over lush vineyards that make a stunning backdrop for a perfect wedding.
The vineyards offer spectacular settings for photographs with flourishing vines, historic buildings, open green fields or the gently flowing river. The function centre features a number of rooms that can be styled for small or large functions or if you prefer, a marquee overlooking the vineyards can be perfectly positioned to take advantage of the tranquil ambience.
Dalwood’s events are catered superbly by two-hatted chef Chris Thornton from Restaurant Mason or by renowned restaurant MEET. Wines are from the home-grown Hunter Valley vines of Dalwood, Hungerford Hill and the legendary Sweetwater.
The estate has a dedicated event planner and event stylist who will bring your vision to life, perfecting even the most minor detail.
