Do you supply styling and theming?

The Botanic Gardens Restaurant offers ample amounts of furniture to be used in the venue including tables, chairs, high tables, stools and lounges.

In addition, our external expert suppliers work closely with our venue and can assist you with your styling and theming ideas. Speak to our events team about your requirements and we will send you our recommended supplier details so that you may connect them directly.

Which Botanic Gardens gate should my guests enter to access your venue?

Woolloomooloo Gate on Mrs. Macquarie’s Road is the main gate we recommend for guests to enter and exit from, however there are number of other gates that may be suitable for your guests. Speak to our events team who will recommend the best gate for your event.

In addition, the Choo Choo Express is a small, red, trackless train within the Gardens that can be hired privately to escort your guests from the gate to our venue. There are two trains that can be hired, each train accommodates 30 guests. Ask our events team for more information.

Do you cater for special dietary requirements?

Yes we do! We understand the wide range of dietary requirements that guests may have. Dietary requirements must be confirmed 14 days in advance of your event.

Aside from choosing from the food and beverage packages offered, can I create a bespoke menu?

Yes you may! We understand events may have specific culinary requirements, or be focused on a particular theme or style. Speak with our events team for more information as this option may incur additional costs.

What is the latest time I can book my event to run to?

Our event closure time is midnight, however we stop serving alcohol from 11.30pm.

They were very lovely. We communicated mostly through email and they were so quick to reply to us and were so kind. They were so easy going, and gave us a lot of flexibility with where we could go and for how long.

What a great venue for a wedding reception! We had the ceremony in the morning at the Herb Garden (5 mins walk from the Botanic Gardens Restaurant), and then held a lunch reception at the restaurant afterwards. It was a small wedding (50 people), cozy and intimate. The service and the food was flawless. Jacinta, our event organiser, answered all our enquiries promptly. Everything went perfectly. The venue is bright and open with a nice view of the gardens. They also gave us 1 night accommodation as part of the package at Pier One hotel which was fantastic. It is a bit expensive compared to other venues, but it is all worth it!

Botanic House was such a dream. Chloe, our event coordinator at Botanic House was the best to work with. They checked in with us regularly, met with us and helped us plan much of our reception. It was so great to use the space however we'd like with their furniture and decor. It is such a stunning location and we got to take the most beautiful photos before hand. I highly recommend checking this venue out not just because of its beauty and location but also because of customer service and food/drinks. I also love that we can also go back to visit during the day as it is a cafe when it is not a wedding venue. They also organised all our vendors and their arrive and set up times. Could not recommend them more! We seriously had the best night!

Botanic House exceeded our expectations! The venue itself is breathtaking and stunning.
