The Retreat @ Chapel Hill

The Retreat @ Chapel Hill was the perfect wedding venue. The vineyards were a stunning backdrop and the reception room is set up nicely. Our event manager, Hope, was amazing! She answered all our questions in the lead up to the wedding, ensured setting up the venue the day before was stress free for us and she made sure our actual wedding day ran smoothly - nothing was ever too much to ask for. We have had so many compliments from our guests about the venue, food, drinks and staff. We highly recommend the venue!

We honestly couldn’t be happier that we chose Chapel Hill for our wedding – it was everything we hoped for and more. I don’t even know where to start because everything was just so great. Hope, the wedding coordinator, was incredible. She made the whole planning process feel super easy and stress-free, and on the day she had everything running so smoothly that we could just enjoy ourselves. She was also just such a lovely person to have around. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. We had views of the vineyards during the day, a gorgeous sunset and then a really romantic vibe at night. There were heaps of great spots for photos too. The layout of the venue was also really good. There was lots of space but bit also felt really intimate. The bridal suite is also right off the main reception space and was such a game changer – it gave us a quiet space to take a breather when we needed which I can’t recommend enough. The onsite accommodation was also a huge bonus. We were able to have 20 of our closest friends and family stay the night and have a very generous breakfast at the venue the next morning. It made wedding celebrations feel like they lasted closer to a weekend rather than just the one night. Such a great way to finish the festivities. Lastly of course, the food and wine were absolutely top notch. Chapel Hill gave us the most amazing wedding – we’d recommend it in a heartbeat!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding. Chapel Hill in McLaren Vale was simply stunning — whether you're planning a small, intimate gathering or a larger celebration, this place is an absolute gem. We had around 60 guests and it felt incredibly warm and personal without ever feeling cramped. The view of the vineyards was my absolute favorite — breathtaking doesn't even begin to describe it. We were lucky enough to get married in autumn and the sky put on the most magical show at sunset, dressing up in shades of pink, orange, and purple. It was surreal. The venue is partnered with Salopian Inn, who catered our wedding, and the food was beyond amazing — fresh, seasonal, and full of flavor. Paired with Chapel Hill’s own selection of wines. One of the highlights for me was the on-site guesthouse. Not only was it incredibly beautiful (hello, perfect getting-ready photos!), but it also meant our closest family and friends could stay with us for a couple of nights. It made everything feel so relaxed and seamless — no rushing, no stress. The team at Chapel Hill were phenomenal. They made everything run so smoothly and were just a joy to work with. Thanks to them, I honestly wouldn’t change a single thing. What a magical place. If you’re considering getting married here — do it. You won’t regret it.

We were married at Chapel Hill in March this year and we couldn't have asked for a better day. All we wanted was a relaxed, fun-filled day and Hope & her team made sure this happened. Everything was so well-organised and we didn't have to worry about a thing. The food from Salopian Inn was absolutely amazing, the service was great and everything ran seamlessly thanks to the team at Chapel Hill. We highly recommend this beautiful venue for a wedding!

Her calm and professional approach meant the day ran seamlessly, allowing us to relax and truly enjoy every moment. Hope was very accommodating and worked with us to ensure we had everything we wanted for our dream day. The convenience of having our closest family stay onsite made the day even more special, and the setting provided the perfect backdrop for unforgettable photos and memories. We are so grateful to Hope and the Chapel Hill team for helping to make our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be.
