Additionally, The Poochie Mumma has a partnership with Dr. Ashleigh Resic, Veterinarian at Geelong Animal Emergency Hospital. Dr. Resic will either be helping on the day or on call, providing pet owners with peace of mind knowing their furry friends have access to top-notch veterinary care.

Hey pooch fam! I'm Mia, founder of The Poochie Mumma. I have always been an animal lover growing up and I have been lucky enough to turn that passion into my profession. With years of working for the RSPCA, I had so many owners coming to me for advice and asking to look after their beloved pooches. With a successful pet-sitting business, I have turned that into a specialised wedding pet care service. With my knowledge in animal welfare and animal behavior, you can trust in me with your pooch! <3

Absolutely! My business orginally began as a pet sitting business so I welcome overnight stays. It is a great chance for your pup and I to get to know eachother. It allows me to get a good understanding of your pups behaviour and also helps with your pup feeling comfortable with me (in what can be an overwhelming environment already).
It also allows you to enjoy your wedding night with no stress! Party the night away while your pup is sound asleep after such a big day.
Sleepover dates book out over a year in advance so please reach out asap to secure your dates.
With my background in animal welfare and pet care, I have a deep understanding in animal behaviour and how to spot the first signs of stress. I reccomened to all my brides that they take their pup to a park or somewhere with a crowd to see how they respond.
If they are showing signs of stress, I do not recommend they attend your ceremony.
I offer packages for pre-wedding celebrations which is a great choice for overwhelmed/anxious dogs. This allows them to stay in their familiar environment but also allows them to apart of your day and pre-wedding photos.

I would reccomend taking him to parks or perhaps somewhere with a crowd of people to get him used to it and see how he responds. The main thing is to make sure he isn't stressed or overwhemled so preperation is key!
I offer wedding services such as transportation, supervision, and sleepovers! Sleepovers are a great way for me (or who you decide to help with your pup) to get to know your pup and help him feel more confortable before the big day.
