I'm Kirsty and I'm an Illustrator working predominantly in watercolour. I love people, and I enjoy capturing the character and essence of a person through pencil and paint. After spending several years capturing the human form I'm able to complete a watercolour illustration in 5-7 minutes, making my service unique and engaging.
Although I'm based in the Margaret River region, I offer my services to couples WA-wide.

Hi there! I’m Kirsty - an illustrator based in the Southwest region of WA. I work predominantly in Watercolour and have a passion for capturing the character of people. I enjoy learning new and innovative ways to stretch my illustration practice, and will engage in ongoing idea development in my sketchbooks - my favourite place to be! I love anything vintage - with the majority of my work being vintage-inspired. I also enjoy a good dance, a great book, and delicious food to try out.

Each portrait of one person may take me about 5-6 minutes to complete. If I have a couple who want a portrait together, it can take around 15 minutes to complete.
I will usually begin to work off photos until the que settles down. However, I will try to complete portraits of individuals when they are standing in front of me, and work from a photo for couples. As I usually have an assistant with me, we're able to navigate busy times of the day and make sure it all runs smoothly.
I usually allow 40 minutes to set up for the day. I usually allow 20 minutes to set down, as it doesn't take as long.
Yes, I offer the ability to order bespoke illustrations of the day; whether that be of the Bridesmaids, the Groomsmen, a family portrait, a favourite teacup used, your wedding shoes... anything that you would like to immortalise through an illustration I can do.
I work from photos after the day, which the couple will usually send to me.
I love people and I love drawing them. I've spent several years drawing people from life when out and about, and I've taken part in challenges to build up my sketching skills. After spending time drawing and painting people almost every day, I now have the ability to capture the human form
in little time.
