Where to start on post-elopement party planning?

We’re eloping soon and want to host an intimate, cozy, and laid-back party to celebrate with loved ones, without the traditional wedding fuss. I’m feeling overwhelmed about where to begin and how to make it feel special without becoming a massive production. Is a four-month timeline realistic for planning a casual post-elopement gathering, and what tips or ideas do you have for structuring a non-traditional celebration?

Absolutely! Four months is plenty of time to orgasnie a relaxed post-elopement celebration, especially if you’re deliberately avoiding the traditional wedding format.

Start with the guest list (to establish your approx numbers), thenvenue and overall feel, then keep everything else simple. Think long-table dinner, private room at a favourite restaurant, ora backyard party, cocktail-style gathering or even a beautiful long lunch. Great food, drinks, music, some lovely styling and perhaps a few photos from your elopement displayed around the space can make it feel incredibly special without turning it into something huge!

There really are no rules. You can have speeches, cake, a first dance or none of them! Structure the day around how you actually want to spend time with your favourite people, rather than trying to recreate a traditional reception. The beauty of an elopement celebration is that you can take the bits you love and leave everything else behind.
