Is it possible to have a nice but simple wedding for around $5000-$6000 for around 75 people in Syd
I'd like to know if it's possible to have a elegant but simple wedding for around $5000-$6000 (give or take). If you have managed to do this could please tell me how? Preferable in the Sydney, nsw area. Thank you

It is doable, but it will involve a lot of DIY and families and friends' help. Such as you could have a backyard wedding (private venue) instead of hiring a venue, if the backyard could possible contain 75 people, and it is a bonus if the place has some nice plants. You prob spend most of your budget on food and drinks and hiring reception furniture (wine barrels are good option for cocktail party), however it will save your money from DIY decor part.
Just keep in mind, work on your budget and list down the priority you want to achieve for your wedding.

When it comes to weddings and setting your budget you need to work out what the most important things are to you.
Some considerations are:
1. Do I want to consider DIY options for food, flowers, décor, music
2. Would I like a seated or cocktail style
3. Are guests to bring their own drinks or should I supply them
Once you know what is most important to you and how much you can do on your own then you will be able to fit into a smaller budget more easily x

Absolutely...remember this is your day, so as long as you stick to your budget, you can have the wedding of your dreams. Plus I can also see that your wedding is not till 2018, so you have plenty of time to decide what elements of the day are the most important and where you need to spend the most money, then once decided you can choose what DIY items you can incorporate into your day to save money and maybe see if your family is also happy to assist where possible.Congratulations and best wishes for your special day...
