Postpone and Cancellations

In order to postpone for reasons such as heavy rain fall or sickness, send me an email and we can find a date or an indoor venue that works for both of us. In the event of the Clients cancelling the wedding for whatever reason the booking fee is non-refundable. It will be considered as liquidated damages to the Photographer.

How long will it take to receive the images and photobook?

I will send the images in 10 days through an USB. Photobook may take up to 20 days or a month as I will need to create the photobook after the images are edited. Within couple of days, I will send you some images to post on social media or to share with your family :)

A bit about my Photography:

I picked up Photography as a hobby during my travels and it soon became my passion. I have started this as a business to live a life that I am passionate about. I have over 7 years of experience in photography. You can see my photography journey on my Instagram where I started off as a landscape/street photographer then slowly in to portraits, couples and finally in to weddings which I am absolutely in love with.

I love photographing weddings because first of all it’s an honour to be a part of capturing your love story and secondly I am capturing a joyous occasion in anyone’s life! Wedding photography also lets me explore my creativity in various types of photography. I love capturing your raw emotions, intimacy, candid moments, chic poses, fashion, the beautiful decor that has your creative touch and your friends/family sharing the joy with you on one of the biggest days of your lives!

I always keep my eyes and camera shutter open to catch all the natural moments. Not only do I take pride in photographing candid moments of you but I also love helping you by giving creative directions when needed and getting you comfortable in front of the camera. This is a skill I have learnt from photographing more than a hundred couples that haven’t had any photoshoot experience. Photographing a model or a model couple is easier in my experience. I am happy to send you a guide on posing and being natural in front of the camera and give you more info if you could send me an email.

I love environmental portraits or photographs that show a background to compliment the image and to tell a story from the photograph. I want to show beautiful architecture, symmetry or a landscape or flowers that’s in the background. You rarely see an image of mine that has fully blurred out the background. I make an exception for good bokeh sometimes!

I enjoy editing your photographs myself. I don’t outsource image editing as I believe that editing is the other half of the photography process. Colours and tones of the images are what mostly sets a photographer apart from the others. You can see that my images have a dreamy vibrant feel, earthy tones and a black and white editorial feel to them. I curate every single image and edit in a way that will bring out the best colours or tones in them. I love moody, cinematic, dreamy, black and white and vintage style look to the images. These are dependent on the lighting and location mainly and few other factors include fashion and natural moments or posing. I am happy to suggest you on time of the day to photoshoot, colours and styles to wear, props to use and locations to shoot to create beautiful images of you!

Lastly, I personally love elopements. I wouldn’t say more than weddings but they are different and something I would prefer for myself for various reasons. If your heart is in elopements and adventure, I am keen to talk to you! I love to travel and hike the beautiful mountains! Creating memories and art with beautiful nature, sunsets and a few friends/family that truly mean the world to you is a dream!

Hey there! I am Ash and I live in the heart of Sydney. The best way to photograph a wedding, in my opinion, is to capture candid moments, some quirky creative poses and to show the real environment of the wedding. I don't do photoshop or alter your body image. I use lightroom to give either editorial, moody and black and white look depending on location, lighting and dressing. With over 7 years' photography experience I look forward to candidly capturing your perfect day!

In the near future, I would like to travel and photograph weddings/elopements at some scenic places in Europe, the USA and Canada to create a destination wedding/elopement portfolio.

I am happy to offer free wedding photoshoots if the location is somewhere I would like to shoot for my portfolio and if the couple would cover the travelling and accommodation expenses to their destination of wedding or elopement.

I will spend the whole day with you, edit all the best images and give you the drone footage as well. All of this is over $5000 AUD in value. I am happy to hike mountains and catch sunrise or sunset!

Elopements/weddings in stunning locations are a great way to enjoy your big day with close people and have a honeymoon in the same location which minimizes a lot of expenses while still having stunning backdrops and venues for your wedding.

How can I become more natural in front of the camera and be confident?

How can I become more natural in front of the camera and comfortable?

The short answer is you need to enjoy the moment, bit of practice and you knowing your photographer.

Things that Photographer can do to bring out the emotion:

I highly recommend a pre-wedding or Engagement shoot to know your photographer, get comfortable showing your emotions, and practice posing. This also helps you understand if you like the style of his/her photography. Once you are comfortable with the photographer, your focus shifts towards enjoying time with your partner and posing becomes natural. This helps me capture beautiful candid moments and naturally posed pictures.
I will give you some prompts to do. So I can capture moments of you having fun and not just directions with posing!
I am also very easygoing.. so feel free to do something spontaneous and let me know your suggestions and ideas to create and capture something you love!
I will be waiting and keeping my eyes and lens open for anything spontaneous or intimate!

Do we get all the raw photos as well as the edited ones?

Thats a big NO... and the reason why is - a raw file is not my finished photograph, taking a photograph is the easy part, but the editing process is where the magic begins.

secondly, RAW files are too big in size to share.

and Thirdly, every picture needs to meet certain standards for it to be eidted and handed to the clients.

Therefore, you will only receive JPEG Images.

We like your photography and would Like to book. How do we proceed?

Firstly, Let's confirm on the package you prefer.

we can talk about pre-wedding shoot or a meet up or if you are too busy, at least a zoom call to get to know each other and to listen to your ideas and expectations.

Then I will send you the contract document that shows you the package, policies and booking fee. This document contains the entire understanding between the Clients and the Photographer.

Booking Fee is 50% of the amount agreed, with the balance of the amount agreed due 30 days before the day of the wedding. Your dates will not be held until booking fee has been paid.

Marketing and copyright of the Images.

You will own the copyright of all images once its been paid.

Even when you own the images, You agree to assign “usage rights” to photographer for the use of any of your images for promotional and marketing purposes, and/or for entry by our photographers into professional photography competitions etc.

You agree that photographer may share your images with venues, vendors, social media and partners for promotional and marketing purposes.

Check venue/location rules and permits.

Note the Photographer are sometimes limited by rules imposed by registrars, ministers and venue management as to what can and cannot be done. For example some ministers insist that no flash photography is allowed, and others will insist that the Photographer shoot from a specific location. In such circumstances the Clients agree to accept the technical limitations that may be imposed on the equipment used. The Photographer advises the Clients to make themselves aware of the rules of the venue concerned and if necessary negotiate with the personnel concerned.

Any additional costs required, such as permits to photograph in national parks, on beaches or any other public places that require permits, if any, are the responsibility of the client. It is also your responsibility to obtain any permits prior to the Wedding date and provide the photographer with a copy of any relevant documentation if needed.

We were so happy with our wedding photography from Ash. He was amazing at catching natural moments, he listened to what we wanted and he gave us tips with posing which turned out great. actually found Ash on Airbnb as an experience but I reached out and asked if he would do an engagement shoot for us. He accepted and was very open with ideas! He took into account exactly what we were looking for and also helped us pick the perfect spots for photos since he knows the area. He was very sweet and even brought us extra props since we were flying in from other places. He also ran around in the rain for us for one of our shoots! Ash was not afraid to do what it takes to get the shot and he even extended our time to try and take us to the best places.
