I am young, but I have spent my whole working life in the creative field, first as a Graphic Designer, then a web designer and now a photographer! What are the main shots we need to get at our wedding?

The wedding is not about photography, photography is for showing the wedding, so the best thing is to be yourself. Now with that being said, you might want to get the first kiss, the first dance and some scenic photos of the happy couple.

Do I need two photographers for my wedding?

Put simply, two photographers = more photo opportunities. It is difficult for one person to be everywhere at once. But it all depends on how your day is structured.

Do we get all the raw photos as well as the edited ones?

Most professional photographers don't tend to give you their RAW files, we as photographers retain copyright from all images, but as part of our agreement, you will have unlimited usage rights to them. This means we can always say we took that photo, but you can use it how you like. But it depends on the agreement reached with the individual.

Do I pay before or after the wedding day?

I require a deposit when a booking is made to secure the date. Then the balance will be paid a few weeks before the big day. This way, you won't have to worry about paying any bills during your wedding. If any extra work needs to be done after the day, this may be billed separately.

Jake was a great photographer on our wedding day. He captured some really creative shots that both my husband and I love and he did really well working under really strong sunny conditions on our wedding day and the venue was all glass walls which made it tricky also! Jake has been great to work with in the post production of our photos listening to what I want and accomodating where possible. He has also been really helpful guiding us through the printing stage.

Do I need two photographers for my wedding?

Hi there. My ceremony is at church in the morning and my reception is at 5pm in the city. Am I better off getting two separate photographers - one for getting ready + ceremony and one for the reception - to save on my budget? Or how does that work?

Hi there, thanks for your question :)

Depending on your plan for the day, it might make sense to have two photographers capture two separate events simultaneously. For example, if the bride and groom are getting ready simultaneously and you want photographs of both, then two photographers will work best.

At the ceremony and reception itself, it will give you more photos and different angles (one photographer does close-ups and the other does wider shots) so that you can have variety In capturing the day.

Adding another photographer adds cost, but things will generally run smoother, and you'll get a better result and more variety in your photographs.
