57 Central is a wedding photography studio for couples who care about how their day feels as much as how it looks.
Our background is in commercial photography, film and creative production. We bring that same attention to light, composition and post production to weddings, while keeping the experience relaxed and unobtrusive.
We photograph the day as it unfolds and step in with direction when it genuinely helps. That could mean finding better light, helping with a portrait, or working with your timeline to create space for photographs without pulling you away from the celebration. The rest of the time, we stay close to the action and look for the expressions, movement and small interactions that make the story personal.
Every photography collection includes planning support before the wedding, professionally edited high resolution photographs and a private online gallery. Depending on the collection, you can also add a second photographer, engagement session, fine art prints and priority delivery. We photograph weddings across Sydney and Melbourne and travel throughout Australia.
Wedding film is also available for couples who want both photography and motion captured by the same creative team, while photography remains at the centre of what we do. If you are drawn to imagery that feels considered and natural, we would love to hear what you are planning.

Our work combines an editorial eye with a relaxed documentary approach. We care about composition, light and beautiful portraits, while still capturing the day naturally and allowing genuine moments to unfold.
Absolutely. Most couples are not used to being photographed. We give direction when it helps, particularly during portraits, then step back when the moment is better left alone. You do not need to know how to pose or perform for the camera.
It depends on the shape of your day. Essential includes up to 6 hours, Editorial includes up to 10 hours, and Signature provides all day coverage. Once we understand your timeline, we can recommend the collection that makes the most sense rather than asking you to book more coverage than you need.
Yes. Two photographers are included in our Signature collection and can also be added to other collections where additional coverage would benefit the day.
Two photographers allow us to capture more of the day simultaneously, particularly when preparations are happening in different locations or when you want additional perspectives during the ceremony and reception. It can be particularly useful for larger weddings and more complex schedules.
You will receive a curated preview within 48 hours of your wedding. Complete galleries are generally delivered within 3 to 4 weeks, with priority delivery within 2 to 3 weeks included in our Signature collection.
We do not work to a fixed image count. Your final gallery is carefully curated around the day and includes the strongest photographs from your coverage. All final photographs are professionally edited and individually retouched.
Yes. Our Engagement Session is $595 and is a relaxed way to experience how we work before your wedding, or simply create photographs together outside the wedding day.
The session includes up to 60 minutes of photography, planning beforehand and a professionally edited private gallery.
Yes. If you book an Editorial or Signature wedding collection within 14 days of receiving your engagement gallery, we will apply the cost of the engagement shoot as a credit towards your wedding photography.
Every wedding collection includes a pre wedding planning consultation. We use this time to understand your schedule, priorities, important people and anything you particularly want captured. We can also help identify where photography fits naturally into the timeline so the day itself feels straightforward and relaxed.
Yes. Wedding film is available alongside our photography collections for couples who want both captured by the same creative team. Film can be added based on the scale of your wedding and the type of coverage you are looking for.
Yes. We photograph weddings across Sydney and Melbourne and are available throughout Australia. Destination wedding enquiries are also welcome, with travel quoted depending on location.
