Instill Photography is owned by Sydney Photographer Jared Mildenhall, who has over 24 years of experience in the wedding industry. Together with his passionate team, Instill Photography captures candid moments while making sure couples have a fun, stress-free experience.

How would most of the couples you’ve worked with describe your wedding day personality?
That’s easy — the most common feedback I get is that I become like family on the day.
What’s the number one thing you always do or recommend when couples are nervous in front of the camera?
To focus on each other. We run little scenarios that get our couples to interact and have fun — the best part is that it makes for amazing photos!
Do you usually meet with couples prior to their wedding day?
I give couples the option to meet in person, via technology (FaceTime, Zoom, etc.), or via email.
Do you offer engagement photoshoots or any other type of photoshoot before the wedding?
We offer both mini and full engagement photo sessions — depending on need and budget.
What types of wedding photo albums do you offer?
We offer the most amazing luxury albums. The standard size is 11x14inches. They have thick rigid pages, designs that are printed on genuine archival photo paper, leather or leather-like covers with an acrylic glass photo cover. The design software we use allows our clients to suggest changes and give final approval before the album goes to print!
Do you shoot film or digital?
Digital
Do you usually work alone or with a second shooter and/or photography assistant?
Depending on the package chosen, there is an assistant or second photographer included.
Can you share a couple of your favourite local photography locations?
Sydney Olympic Park, Belgenny Farm, Camden Lakeside, Gledswood Hills homestead and winery, Parramatta lake (not park — that’s boring haha).
Tell us about your packages.
Our packages have no hidden catches or charges. Other than the first package (that covers the ceremony and photo location), all our packages don’t have specified hours. If your package includes preparations, ceremony, location photos, and full reception, then we are there for as long as that takes. This saves our couples from stressing about having to consider and pay for extra hours.
How many hours should we book your wedding photography services?
We take away the stress of worrying about hours. Book a package that includes what you want to be covered, and we will be there — whether that’s for 6 hours or 16 hours!

The best part of our wedding day was getting our photos done, honestly and we’ll tell you why! The nerves of the ceremony had gone and we had said hi to our family and friends. Then we got to escape the crowd and spend the next couple hours walking around a beautiful venue arm in arm, talking about our mornings, sneaking in a few kisses and just being us. Yes we were getting photos taken at the same time, but it was lovely and intimate. Jared and Colin had a wonderful way of making us relaxed, having a laugh with us, letting us be us and getting amazing pictures in the process.

Our wedding photos by Instill Photography are absolutely breathtaking. Jared was a happy presence throughout the entire day and he managed to capture every moment - including the Milky Way lit up in the night sky!
He even got smiles out of the shy guests and young kids. The real miracle was making me look pretty in every single photo, which is no easy feat.

Geoff was amazing and provided such a quick turn around time for our photos, and they all looked amazing. There was minimal touch up done to them which was exactly what we wanted, just raw capture of our special day.

They went above and beyond and was absolutely fantastic. They captured each moment perfectly and we didn't even know they were there. We met with them and they came to our place and really structured the day to what we wanted and took everything in his stride.
