Grace & Fire
From 35 years of doing music at weddings I can say, it's best to work out the music you want to hear first.
Make a list of music/songs but think about who is going to be there listening/dancing. Grandma (and even Mum & Dad) are NOT going to leap up for the 'drop'!
A live band is much 'classier' and lends a special feel to the day and usually can learn tunes (but this could be an extra cost).
A DJ just has to download from itunes! Indeed, if you have something special in mind, any live music act can let you plug your iphone and rock it through their P.A. with no extra D.J. cost. Best of both worlds.
As a music duo, we have the sound system, extra dance lights, a great live set covering all generations (and most bands will have this too) and may D.J.'s won't have the multiple generation set covered. Hope this answer helps. Pauly T. Grace & Fire - music.
